Watch out for the current credit bubble.
great great attention with the flips of the house.
Also in 2005-2006, the maximum potential in the market began to be reached.
The higher the sales speed now, the higher the braking in the future.
Be careful when the economic cycle changes and when your central bank raises interest rates !!!
      Otherwise a very interesting video.
I posted a video with a historical chart of the real estate cycle in the USA: on youtube type - " Bula Imobiliara Housing Bubble 2021 "

I really like this channel and these videos. But every time I’m BLOWN AWAY at how expensive real estate is in California. 1.55 million for 1100 square feet? That insanity! But whatever floats your boat 🛥

I was thinking the same thing. I guess its all about location. My jaw hit the floor when she gave the price. I live in Delaware. That house would go for around $150,000!

@4Freedom4All unfortunately the prices have went up but it’s still a 1m $ house in the urban coastal areas. It’s insane. 2 hrs away you can get an INSANE set up compared to that for 1 million.

Not only is it insanity but the houses are so plain. This lovely lady does a great job but the houses in CA are so boring and small. They have no basement, 2nd floor or space. The master bedrooms are really nothing compared to the East Coast homes. We have master suites. Lol and I'm complaining about 3500 sft and that doesn't include the basement. Makes me appreciate what we have over here and it's way less!
Eta: I don't understand why they squeeze pools in the yard of these small houses either.

I love the door and tule in the kitchen because they are time period pieces that work well. Mid century homes are easy to remodel. Most of modern styles actually revolve around traditional mid century styles. I really love how your flipped this one.

My husband and I bought our 1950s "stucco box" style house in the Bay Area in year 1999 for $330,000 (2,000 sq ft). Lately, homes on our street are selling for around $1.2 million. The neighborhood is nice but the local school district isn't the greatest, so we sent our child to private schools (extra $$). Yes, it is crazy, particularly when you consider that we are located along an earthquake fault

I have to say my two biggest gripes with this one (by the way, love this channel and she’s great) we’re covering the period brick on the fireplace and relaxing the floors with a gray hue. Felt like a waste of money and detracted from the home. But overall she does great work and has integrity, unlike so many other flippers.

The open concept is the transition that really upgrades this home. The floors, finishes, lighting, etc. help to make this home not only stylish but more valuable.
It is a good thing you researched mid century homes to complete this flip. Most people will appreciate the many improvements and beauty of this home inside and out. The costs for the tiles and the huge impact they made is something special as well. Great job.

    • @Cloudburst2000
      @Cloudburst2000 3 роки тому +2

As an owner of a mid-century modern home, true MCM interiors are very expensive, and most people would not really appreciate them anyway. A true MCM kitchen would possibly have vintage metal cabinets, formica countertops, etc. Same with bathrooms...formica countertops, colored vintage sink/tub/toilet. Most homeowners don't truly want that in their home. Only true die-hard MCM lovers want those elements. As there was nothing left in the home that was MCM style (all renovated out over the years), a more modern and sleek look was the way to go to be able to sell them home. The more modern sleek look is, at least, modern if not truly mid century modern so well appeal to most buyers and fits the home much better than would more traditional styles.

A great job returning the home to its modern theme! Like others who have posted, though, I'm shocked at the current housing market! What used to be affordably-priced middle-class homes are now listing at $1.5 to over $2 Million!! I'm seeing nearly the same trend here in Texas. It scares me.

I have a mid century modern home in Elk Grove, CA … and I am here for inspiration! We are currently renovating (the kitchen literally has *YELLOW countertops!* 😂) I am some-what lost on how I want to do everything .. I have never been in a position where I am remodeling an entire house. There are soooo many details to consider and in a home that’s 2200sq ft! We started on the bedrooms (4 total) 1 down 3 to go… plus the kitchen, 2 living rooms, dining room … Oye vey! 😫

really lovely transformation! It looks like there is access to a potentially inconvenient corner base cabinet on the dining room side of the peninsula. Thanks for this video, I appreciate you explaining your design choices and I'm inspired by your work! Wondering, how do you find reliable, affordable contractors? Do you work with a GC or do you subcontract things yourself? I'm on the east coast so maybe things work differently in the bay area, but I've had a tough time finding reliable contractors that show up and do what's asked efficiently. Do you pay your contractors by the job or by hour? Do you buy all your own materials or do contractors supply things like Romex, plumbing parts etc.? Thank you

You do good work 👍. Very inspiring, but why would you leave the front patio all cracked up and jazz up the side lawn patio…. 😖

Really nice transformation. BTW, could you please share with me how much it costs for central A/C and heater units? Do you need to upgrade electrical panel? Thanks.

Everything is LOVELY! 😍😍😍 What happens to the furniture left behind? Do you use it to stage another house, give away, sell? It appeared to be in great shape.. emphasis on APPEARED.

When staging , why didn’t you put a chest or burrow in bedrooms ? When is one going to store clothing , other than closet ?
