Applauding the no phony accent , constant clarifying she's from Nigeria not just "Africa", the yoruba and this whole production. Take your flowers y'all ❤🎉
To the sisters and brothers who have been a shoulder of support for new migrants I appreciate you all. That emotional support is always felt even decades later we never forget. Beautiful story.
A story of victory. Even though this was set in 1956 it reminded me of a few experiences I had living in China in recent years. “Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world “
I hope you consider submitting this for an award, I'm sure you would win something. Great acting and pacing, fantastic production quality. Really, really good. Thank you for sharing
Don't mess with a naija babe oh. I was like don't leave that sweet and beautiful roomy. So proud to made in Nigeria. The stories been told about oyinbo's are so not true and so cold here too. Thanks for sharing. ❤👏🙏
I can relate so badly! That one mistake that ALLL Black peoples from former colonies make! That they were bettering themselves by going to Europe...that just being in England or Europe was a step up in life! The agony and trauma of Africans and African Caribbean when they got to the UK in the 30's and 40's was significant!
My Mom's experience - 1971 Exeter UK. She was promptly fired for standing up for herself. She returned to Nigeria and never went back. Her name was Victoria Adejoke. We called her TORIA
So sorry to hear about her experience, what a travesty that it's all too common but she sounded like a true woman of integrity. Thank you for sharing this with us, love and blessings to dear mum
It tells me don’t break, keep moving her dad to me represents God our Lord Jesus Christ. He is always there we should just communicate to him daily. He’d answer!!!
This is one of the best short films I've seen. It felt wrong to watch it and not drop a comment. The Nigerian accent got to me 😂. It's a beautiful film ❤. Looking forward to more of Teju's adventures
This is a wow. Encouraging and enlightening. It gives a glimpse into what many of our parents and grand-parents who emigrated to the White man's land to pursue knowledge passed through. I no doubt believe they paved the way for the ease many in this generation are now enjoying by their brilliance and exceptional performance then.
Loved watching this short film, even though very painful to see the racist discrimination. great to get so much into a short film and also the filming is beautiful. wishing you all the best with the film 💜
Amazing film 🎥 with detailed information and humour. Well done to the cast. Kudos to Teniola Zara King. Keep up the great work. Really proud of you and what you have achieved.
Thank God things have changed, I moved to England from Nigeria over a year ago and English people and other foreigners have been so kind to me, of course there's the occasional fool here and there but generally it's a very polite society. I hope to go back and build a standard hospital in my village someday though, health care is terribly inadequate there.
Wow! Beautifully written and so professionally executed executed. I love it when we tell our stories and this is one of our stories that need to be told. I'm looking forward to hearing more about Teju and more from Teni and team.
This was really well written and produced. It dealt with a serious issue in a way which really pulled me in - it was dramatic and compelling in equal measure. But then the humour was really well balanced and left me with a positive lasting memory. I could really do with a full length movie of this!
Teni you have done an amazing job on this short. You successful transported me to another world that I did not want to leave! Can’t wait for what’s next 🎉
Wow! Words cannot express! I just want more pls. I saw a snippet on TikTok and immediately came to watch it. And I must say it was a very good 15 minutes well spent. Great job and I’m so proud to be Nigerian. And yes I have subscribed for life ❤️
I throughly enjoyed this! This was very well executed. I love how this was shown in the era we are in. We need more of this! Very well done all! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I heard these stories from relatives who came to England from the Caribbean…the truth is many continue to teach their children to behave the exact same way, thank goodness we have grown past their fascism!
If there's one thing I learned is, never give up on your dream because of someone or some people giving you a hard time achieving it. Does this makes sense?☝🏿
I loved this the way they came together at the end brought me to tears. Well done for telling a much needed story/experience in such a enthralling way👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾
This has to be one of the best short movies I’ve ever seen. Looking forward to seeing more of Teju’s adventures

The fact that she was speaking with a Nigerian accent is everything. This is so cool. Thumbs up to Dorcas and the team.
The fact she tied wrapper on her chest made me happy
In fact you just said my mind. I so much love her for that. I love being dynamic. I swear i love Dorcas so much.
Applauding the no phony accent , constant clarifying she's from Nigeria not just "Africa", the yoruba and this whole production. Take your flowers y'all ❤🎉

Team smashed it! Appreciate the love ❤️🙏🏼
Dorcas is a brilliant actress ❤. Production was on point too!!
Racial discrimination still happens in all forms and sectors even till this day ... but we will pushing ahead and breaking those ceilings. Lovely tale
This is so dope! I’m Jamaican and I was very impressed with the actress who played the other nurse. Loved this completely…. Only wish it were longer ❤
Clearly not a real Jamaican
A story of victory. Even though this was set in 1956 it reminded me of a few experiences I had living in China in recent years. “Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world “
Incredible storytelling. It wasn't easy for people from Africa coming here at the time. I don't know if I could have done what my parents did.
Whole team did amazingly! Our parents are truly superstars 🙏🏼❤️
This needs to be turned into a netflix film asap!
Gotta tweet at them to make it happen :))

Loved the main character in MTV Shuga too. Immediately recognised Mofe as the father’s voice.
Finally a true Nigerian Accent brilliant performance and movie
It takes one to begin an army. Strength is in numbers. This is an inspiring story. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Such an interesting short story.
Sola Fapson is quite underrated.
She should act more.
Don't mess with a naija babe oh. I was like don't leave that sweet and beautiful roomy. So proud to made in Nigeria. The stories been told about oyinbo's are so not true and so cold here too. Thanks for sharing. ❤👏🙏

This is exactly what Nigerian accent is. Great movie
I hate those movies that portrays Naija English accent as something else. It irks me
One of such is this Abisola and bob series, I don't like it

My heart wouldn’t be able to. I’m tempted to stop but I’m almost done
I hope we get to see how they supported one another through it all. Weldone!!

I loved this. The actors can speak Yoruba makes this film very relatable. This should be shown in schools
Definitelly let's share it around far and wide, and if you have contacts with teachers or schools, the film is available here to be screened :)
