The Sunyani Traditional Council have no such powers to suspend a chief of whatever status. Where in the law does the term suspension come in the history of the exercise of traditional authority in Ghana ? And Who has been vested with that power to suspend ? Can institution act in a vacuum as in acting without recourse to an existing law or practice ? The answer is no. The Chieftaincy Act of 2008 cannot be thrown yo the dogs. The Sunyani Traditional Council must be very careful. The Chieftaincy institutions are institutions of state and they cannot do what they like anddeem fit in their pockets. Ghana is ruled by laws and not machoism.
So you see why we are so stupid. When our leaders led by Kwame Nkrumah changed Western Ashanti then Brong Ahafo region now to Bono region and Ahafo region failed to document the traditional authority system knowing very well the political boundaries would definitely cause a misunderstanding between on the traditional boundaries in future. Now do we all see what this stupid Domaahene is doing ? We will see the effect of his stupidity when there is as traditional trtribal warfare.
