Here’s the problem, if we found aliens then would we think they were smart?
This is called the compatibility problem. Basically an alien civilization would be so different from our own then we wouldn’t even be able to comprehend what they’ve created.
While humans have different words for the same things in different languages aliens would have different things and would likely also have a completely different method of communication.

@@thomasmulligan Do you know France and the US are planning to start another war in 4 African countries, even though the government and the citizens have asked them to leave. Which was due to France’s highly controlling policies which were signed under duress, all linking back to France’s colonial influence in Africa.
During the First World War, 10% of the death counts were civilians
During the Second World War, 50% were civilians
During the vietnam war, 70% were civilians
During the Iraq war, 90% were civilians
I don’t even think Niger citizens know this, so they’re all standing up for their country, saying the US and France would reinstate the previous government over their dead bodies, they don’t know the US isn’t new to killing normal harmless civilians.
The US and France are trying to reinstate the previous corrupt government in that country because it works for them.
You see, Niger is the 7th highest producer of uranium, which is used for generating power and create nuclear weapons, the French government steals their uranium every year, together with the previous corrupt government, which left Niger one of the poorest countries in the world, but they broke out of it through a coup… All the citizens are jubilant, they’re celebrating the even.
But now, the US wants to return the previous corrupt government back in power, against the country’s will, which might lead to a war.
I’m just trying to draw attention to it maybe you could research it and talk about it, cause the media is trying to manipulate the information

I personally believe we can become more advanced. I will add alot onto earth once I can, like flying areodynamic cars, force feilds using my own Lazarus Formula, and space ships that use magnets to move, and so much more. I have dreams. Many indeed.
Edit: I will say this, I believe in creating a better future not for just me, but for all mankind. And also, when I said spaceships that use magnets to move, I mean it would be powered by magnets.

    • @herxantpl6183
      @herxantpl6183 Рік тому +10

      I choose to be sceptic.
Why would we need magnets powered spaceships? I see only two ways:
      a) we shoot a magnet out and somehow none of the machinery other than the ship is affected by it, also, the magnet has to be crazy powerful. Also, when launching those have to be shot fast enough to achieve speed around 40,300 kilometers an hour. If thats a problem, i think we can shoot it at a curved trajectory. Still, it would be pretty much impossible for now. We cannot forget about the mass of such magnets. Unless you find a new very strong and very light magnetical substance we may be better of sending a spacecraft flying with normal engines than with shooting a idk, rough estimate like 20 tons of mass (still a pretty optimistic estimate) at the speeds approaching 41 thousands killometers per hour which requires a lot of energy. Moreover, even if it's powerful enough and we shoot it so nicely, if we shoot it so fast, it's possible that it will be too far awat to noticeably affect the ship before it moves an inch. One last issue i see with this possibility: what do we do in space? Do we just shoot an absolute shitton of magnets everytime we want to change directions? We can't ignore the dynamics' rules. Farting in space is enough to make you move so us shooting out those huge balls will make so much propulsion to negate a quite a bit of the magnetic attraction. Neither can we overlook the fact that the ship will attract the magnet way more than magnet attracts the ship unless the magnet is more massive than the ship. In that case why not just shoot the spaceship itself? And let's not forget how massive those are, so we either have to nicely limit pretty much everything not absolutely necessary off of the ship or make the ship way larger which is quite the problem, we are sending the ship flying with a magnet heavy ass magnet, nice too bad the ship is insanely massive and so are other magnets that are required for correction of the trajectory. The other magnets are quite obviously stored on the ship so how the fuck, no matter if the magnet is somehow more massive than the ship, are we gonna move xz+y (where x is the mass of the magnet, y is the mass of our ship, and z is the amount of magnets on the ships deck) with the mass of x? Also, the balls of such a magnetic force would have just ripped the ship open, rather than moving it. Its like chaining a door hinge to a monster truck: the doors won't open, they will break.
      b) we make a rail cannon. Costs? Crazy. Amount of research requires for it to be actually cost effective? Crazy. Better concern: FOR WHAT PURPOSE??? I don't think they will be much better and there's the necessity to conpletely rework pretty much all ships and their launching sites. There is one more problem with that: those devices would be of astronomical (see what i did there?) size, if it was to contain an entire spaceship. It would also be pretty much impossible to use tho, because unless you feel like NO way of changing directions and/or ever coming back to earth, making for these nice, no crew, no substances collected, pretty much useless spaceships. Well, in all honesty, we can fix the issue of no direction change with our good friends, magnetic balls. These as we mentioned before are a huge problem, and there is also the fact that its even more force required for a railcannon in order to set us flying, and the magnetic ball may be even more problems, because the rail cannon is also magnetic. Even then, there is still no way to come back to earth, unless we take an absolutely astronomic amount of resources and crazy machinery to build one more rail cannon on the surface of whatever we landed on. We just tackled a different issue: how are we gonna land without crashing if we have no engines? And back to the building of the rail cannon on the moon or something is also quite the problematic because: we have to wait fucking years before a single machine can build such an absolute behemoth of infrastructure. That's even failing to mention that we have to send a mass greater than the rail cannon with a rail cannon (good luck) and dont forget that the cannon must be at least 10 times more nassive than the ship, so we have multiplied the mass of our ship 11 times. Good luck, once again, if you want to send that. Finally, the magnetic powers are so strong the ship would be ripped apart, instead of being moved.
Force field? I mean sure, but why no like idk, nice defense system against rockets is enough, or if it's for the war why not just try to create some cool ass armor. Also, how would it work? I mean the only way it could work if it pushed all matter except you out of the field which:
      A) how would the force field know that the pile of atoms is you and isnt supposed to push YOU out?
      B) how would you breathe if the oxygen is pushed out? Sure, you can have a bottle with oxygen, but are you seriously gonna do that? Also, the air itself. It's density is around 1.2 kg/m^3 what do you think is gonna happen when you turn the thing on? Its gonna send around 70 tons of air thats directly above you, (remember our good friend, atmosphere?) up quite a bit of distance up. That with the same exact rhing happening to the left right behind you and in front of you will be quite a bit of air you just moved. It might give everything a nice gentle roasting of around 1400 degrees celcius.
      C) the ground. You cant just push the ground from beneath you, its too compact for that. Unless you are flying, it will either send you flying, or will, heh, you know, blow the fucking area up with the power of a small tactical nuke.
      D) how would it even work? I have no idea. My best shot is if it had negative gravity, which ummm, have fun developing that technology, and only when turned on. So it would have normal gravity and once you flip a switch its of negative gravity??? I'm not even gonna argue against that, BUT i'm gonna suggest some black hole tests, because with negative gravity you maybe can push a black hole away (not really because black holes are too massive for that).
Finally, the flying cars. Just get a helicopter???
Final problem: wtf is lazarus formula
Edit: Shit i just realised HOW MUCH i have written. Boy

I know I'm late, but I have 2 things to say:
    1. If we were to stumble across some sort of alien race, what would they look like, and what do you think they would do, if they found what we did on our exploration of earth during the Renaissance era?
    2. 2 games that very well portray how things COULD turn out, are: 1. Warhammer 40K and 2. Half Life 2, in Warhammer, we are the destroyers, killing anything that isn't human (with the exception of Beastmen, who are abhumans), and destroying entire worlds for seemingly no reason, and in Half Life 2, we are facing near extinction, due to the Universal Union putting up a field around Earth, that prevents humans from having children, and killing humans just to keep us in line, and life there SUCKS, to the point that there are only a handful of rebels, who up until Gordon Freeman shows up, have stayed in hiding, due to the fact that they will be publicly executed, and when Freeman does show up, it scares the Garrison Unit (that is very crappy for how the army of the Universal Union performs) SO MUCH that they send EVERYTHING they have at him, although it is in vain, as they all die, and keep in mind, the oceans are drained, pretty much every species (except for humans) are either extinct, or near extinct, and all of Earth's militaries were depleted in 7 HOURS, so that's the end of humanity as they know it, either way, it'd be best if we just stayed low, and didn't interact with the universe until we were SURE that we could beat an alien race, or invasion

The idea of Biological Humanity living in a largely “post-biological universe” where AI life is now predominant, is interesting. Steven Dick, a former Chief in NASA, speculated on this concept saying. 'Given the age of the Universe, we could easily be living in a largely post-biological Universe that is predominately populated by immortal thinking machines'.

Why can’t we ignore the tiny little conflicts on the planet . This planet is just a fragile piece of rock held together by a thin atmosphere. Something like that really humbles you and the priority of protecting the dot becomes the top of your list. Borders no longer exist international arguments become insignificant and have no value.

Anyone looking at us drkm far away would probably look at us and think of us as a young species.
Our farthest living leap is literally our own moon. We arent particularly good at spaceflight, as seen from how much rubbish we have littered our own orbit with.
Speaking of rubbish depending on how far away they are, they can watch our tv and listen to our radio from the past.
The Munich olypics was one of the first broadcasts, and that would be a clear indication of our species' place in time.
If aliens do ever visit, its probably for conservation purposes. It must be fascinating to watch a bunch of apes basically screw over the only place they can survive.

Maybe the aliens have died. Just think about how long light from distant stars takes to get
to Earth. The aliens could be long gone.

But what if the aliens have been around for a shorter period of time than us? Everybody assumes that if we discover aliens, they'll be smarter and more advanced, but that may not be true.
