    Explaining: Why your q dashes knock back and sometimes don’t knock back is because of a balancing system. They knock back if you are too close to an enemy so it will not be simple to start a combo from up close.
    Your “Pinpoint cut” move has an air variant where if u hold jump and press the move it will do a upper slash that can combo extend
    There is an uppercut you can do with your m1’s. It is like the down slam but different. You have to do your first 3m1’s as normal then on your last m1 hold jump and it will knock your enemy upwards which can combo extend into moves that can not hit when the enemy is ragdolled.
    The best way to land an atomic slash is to down slam your enemy and use the move. If I am not mistaken, it should ragdoll your enemy to make it easier to hit.
    There is a ragdoll cancel. By simly pressing q when your character is ragdolled you will be able to stand up quick. This can be used to escape attacks or combos. Always make sure you are keeping track of when your opponent does this as you will know when it is accessible to land your combos on them.
    I would tell you a blade master combo but a UA-cam tutorial can teach it better.

      You should try out Hero hunter it's just a bunch of grabs and a counter skill.
      EDIT: It’s probably one of the most complex characters because if you want to actually combo you need to down slam / up tilt (Or just use it during 3 m1’s)

    The reason why people sometimes drop outta your combos is because theres evasives.
    U can evasive when your ragdolled, and its represented by a wind vfx on the character.
    Evasive cooldowns arent shown though, so you gotta rely on memory

    25:59 Atomic slash has IFRAMES during his move, but the thing about Garou's ult is that he has a one time move that bypasses any hyperarmor in the game. The only way to use atomic slash is if you downslam someone (3 m1s + jump m1) and then use it

    Game tips: For Strongest Battlegrounds
    1. You can downslam and uppercut to land better combos if you do m1 and hold space u can uppercut.
    2. Learn different techs to land combos easier and deal more damage
    3. Side dashing is very important as it's the main way to get past their block
    4. You use m1s to force their evasive and you can punish and land your combos

    Pinpoint cut has an air variant! I think its finisher is way cooler, just jump and keep pressing space then 3. Also the Q dash's knockback happens when you spin (probable like a 180º spin around?) Great video, love when you try new games

      And, your 2 drops because they use their Q evasive, you can use it with that move. Usually when you wanna do a combo in this type of game, its recommended to waste your opponent evasive, best way to do this is with downslam or uppercut, you can combo from those too with some moves, for downslam jump first then m1 a tiny bit later, for the uppercut just hold space with the last m1. A move that combos from uppercut could be Saitama's 1, Garou's 2. And from downslam you can combo extend with some moves like Blade Master's 2, Tatsumaki's 1, etc.

    A tip I have is when you fight an opponent, make sure they waste their evasive (side dash). To get them to do that is to either knock them down with a move or use your 4 m1's. Once they use their evasive, then any combos from that point will essentially become "true" for the duration of the evasive cooldown. Just don't do combos that would generally make the enemy automatically get pushed far away

    Hey btw, the reason 2 kept dropping enemies is because there is a very small window to do an evasive. The enemies will exploit this so I recommend to waste their evasive first by doing some normal m1s and not using any moves. The trick is to make them think your bouta combo, then when their evasive is gone, obliterated them. Love your videos!! ❤❤❤ oh and btw, atomic slash does have hyper armor, it’s just that some ult moves will break through.

    The forward dash knocks back like that if you hit them when you're too close.
    It's a little janky sometimes but it stops people from doing infinite m1 loops.
    There was this tech with the side dash where if you timed it just right, you could land your forward dash before they got out of stun and continue your m1 string. They ultimately decided to remove the tech from the game because of the high damage/one shot combos you could do with it.
    So now, the forward dash is a little more strict on whether or not you can get a combo off of it.

    You should do martial artist next, this video was pretty good and id like to see more of TSB. Martial Artist has moves that combo into each other so its much easier to use.

    Infer these are some tips i have:
    Back dash startup has i frames basically do this if you miss a m1 in a combo
    You can side dash off pinpoint and time the m1 so it dosent rng knockback or ragdoll
    You can downslam off most skills in this game, eg: atmos, down slam (it is counterable)
    Some characters have different mouse click speeds (bat is slowest, cyborg is 2nd slowest, blade master on ninja are the same, garou (hero hunter) and saitama and martial artist are all tied pretty sure, while wild pshycic is the fastest.
    Instead of random front dashing, side dash and m1 to get around block more smoothly

    The 2 drops because the opponent uses a ragdoll cancel. If you don’t know how ragdoll cancels work, If you dash when ragdolled you will ragdoll cancel, this is the equivalent to an evasive in this game.

    you can use either downslam or uppercut into atomic slash. because in the middle of the windup animation, if your opponent is on the ground, they get flung upwards which stuns them more. if your opponent ragdoll canceled while ur in ur ult, you can catch them and then do an uppercut into atomic slash and they would be guaranteed dead [looking sideways also increases the hitbox for atomic slash]

    I simple combo I use for atomic samurai is 3m1, uppercut, atomic cleave, 3m1 (while in the air) down slam, side dash, pinpoint cut, side dash towards player quick slice.
    Quick note: you can use quick slice to close distance since it does a little dash and you can turn it so you could use to dash towards the enemy and then turn really quickly

    some breakdown on the fights in the video :
    everytime your moves "drop" or you think they lagged out of your combos was them using their evasive. you can try to counter this by winning m1s, doing a full knockback m1 combo to bait out their evasive, if theres a white circle of wind and they dash away that means their evasive is on cooldown and you can try to win m1s again and do your combo
    do you wonder why sometimes when you use front dash punch it knocks back instead of stunning the opponent? its actually not random and is a balance feature that exists so you cant just dash at close range and get an m1 reset out of it. so because of this sometimes if you are too close to the opponent and you front dash, the game will register that as you trying to reset your m1s and knock the opponent back, preventing it from stunning
    in atomic samurais mode, everything is interruptable except the 4th move which is the atom slash one. but the bacon near the end was able to hit you through it because he was using hero hunter mode, which if you didnt know has a move that can break through certain ultimates hyper armor. which is what he used to hit you out of atom slash.

    the way you land almost every long wind up move is by first making sure your opponent doesn't have ragdoll cancel, then doing a down slam m1 variant into whichever move it is

    this game has an evasive, when you press Q while pressing a or d you use that evasive. the evasive has like a 30 second cooldown also you can evasive out of some moves that's why some people ''drop'' out of your moves

    One of the biggest concerns you should aways be aware of is if they're knocked on the floor you cant do much, you can damage them with your moves but the moment they get up they get a second of super armour. The only way to prevent or delay it is by using Atmos cleave or pinpoint cut before they get up cause it can stun u even if ur on the ground, same goes for garou's hunter grasp. You can also use quick slice as a combo extender if you start a combo near them, then turn around looking away from them and press 1 and if you do it right you should be right next to them while slashing.

    Blade Master is the only reason i keep coming back to this game. When i want to have a nice and satisfying fight every once in a while i just hop on ranked and play as Blade Master and then quit because i am out of loop with the meta and everyone knows tech that i dont and then the cycle continues to repeat

    On Genos, If someone is RIGHT behind you if you use the second move it knocks them back allowing you to turn around and hit them with the second part of the move.

    Indeed there aren't Guard breaks in this game but for most moves if you block like for ex. Garou's Flowing Water move, you get launched further so they cant combo extend with it. So it's mostly just Side Dashing behind the Enemy, or M1 trading.
    If people block Pinpoint block, they get ragdolled instead of that throw thingy.
    Also Pinpoint cut has an Air Variant if you hold space.
    Im sure someone pointed this out already, but you can Ragdoll cancel out of Atomic Cleave and Pinpoint cut.
    Ragdoll Cancel is when you press Q to side Dash out of Ragdoll or certain moves.

    tip 1: when the garou hit you with his ultimate move (final hunt 26:59) it bypasses almost all moves + armor for certain moves such as death counter, death blow, incinerate, and atomic slash. however, it cannot bypass table flip, serious punch, and omni directional punch
    tip 2: the ultimate animation for saitama is hard to notice but it makes a loud sound (15:52)
    tip 3: if you were to waste their evasive then downslam once they get back up and use atomic slash, it would be true (their ragdoll bounces back up for some reason not giving them time to dash away from it)
    tip 4: atomic slash gains more range if you try and hit them sideways with it instead of aiming it directly at them

    Ngl im going to make a basic run down of tsb combat because i find it more fun when you know what your doing to lab cool combos.
    Read if you want to
    Dummies
    When the dummies health goes to red that is when it is stunned and white means the player can block or dash out of the combo.
    Tsb revolves around evasive combat and downtilt uptilt combo extenders.
    Down/up tilt
    You uptilt by holding spacebar while m1ing and to down tilt you jump then m1 on the final m1.
    Evasive
    Downtilting and uptilting allows players a chance to use an evasive that has a decently long cooldown. Evasive is just dashing while you are ragdolled to evade combos and reset the fight.
    Dashing
    Side dashing is the main way people get past guards while foward dashing is more used for combo extending like atomic samurais 3.
    Moves that have i frames always have a start up where you can hit them before the i frames kick in.
    Thats basically it ngl.

    16:39 ult moves that have hyper armor is: all bald hero's ult moves. Second move of hero hunter. Fourth move on genos. Fourth move on deadly ninja. Third move on metal bat. Fourth move on atomic samurai. That's all (for my knowledge)

    btw Atomic Slash does have hyper armor its just some ult moves (for example FInal Hunt on Garou) completely bypass hyper armor and also Atomic Slash can be true if you waste their evasive and then m1 into a downslam and use it instantly, Atomic Slash has a funny mechanic that extends the ragdoll of the players that are ragdolled next to you

    every character (except martial artist) has a passive, the strongest hero: faster ultimate gain, hero hunter: regen hp on finisher, destructive cyborg: reset all move cds on finisher, deadly ninja: 3 flashsteps instead of side dashes on finisher, brutal demon: gain ultimate from being hit, blade master: more m1 damage on finisher, wild psychic: gain a shield while holding f which knock backs the enemy if you get hit. oh and theres an air variant for pinpoint cut

    Gonna just post this here while *hopefully* waiting for the Metal Bat (Brutal Demon) video:
    1. He has a mechanic where any airborne target hit by his 3 or "Grand Slam" is immediately slammed back down on the ground with a bit of stun so they can't get away. So what you usually do is 3 m1's an uppercut and then Grand Slam then just do another m1 chain to any of your other moves.
    2. He has two moves that have alternates if you whiff them that being his 1 or "Homerun" which upon missing your first swing dashes forward and slams the bat down (This shit is not worth it, if you miss the first hit try your best to hit the second one cause if you miss the second one that's a lot of endlag) and the 4th skill which is Foul Ball, the grab slam thing he does if you whiff that you instead chuck a chunk of rock at the enemy and it's really good if you can aim it.
    3. All of his moves except Beatdown hit grounded, play like a fucking monkey.
    So really the easiest combo you can do with the dude is:
    3 m1's - uppercut - Grand Slam - 4 m1's - Homerun.
    This combo does good damage already but you can catch them when they're falling from the homerun swing with either Beatdown or Foul Ball (Foul Ball is easier to catch em with).
    and the ult is stupid, just go ape shit and it has a counter too.

    little tip with quick slice and pinpoint cut: if you use pinpoint cut grounded version, side dash towards where theyre gonna land, and look away from where theyre gonna land and use quick slice, youll land right where theyll land and you can true combo off of quick slice
    also with atmos cleave: if you start m1ing as soon as you get out of it you can jump up and down slam them and its true unless they have a counter

    There is Ragdoll cancel in this game so when you get knocked down you can get back up by pressing Q but it has a cooldown, they were basically using that to get out of your 2
    I think atomic slash is landable under a few conditions, your enemy doesn't have a ragdoll cancel, your right next to them( as close as possible because atomic slash on the start up as a lil explosion that makes them unable to move so you can land the move only if this happens) or you can try turning you camera to hit the enemy with the front "AOE" as the mark on the ground is the actual "aoe" of the skill making it have more range despight still being pretty low range its still better than throwing the slash out raw.

    If you are going to continue on this game, try creating combos with down slams like your 4 in awakening is true if you down slam them and use it (just make sure the evasive is wasted). You can do a down slam by doing 3 m1s then jump and do your last m1.

    If u turn while using ur Forwards W+Q Dash too much, itll Just knock them back, if u do it straight it wont. + You can ragdoll cancel with Q when ur on the ground, and pinpoint cut can be ragdoll cancelled from the 1st m1, also u can do 3 m1s, quickly turn the opposite way into the 1, and 3 more m1s 🙏 into a downslam, and then use the 2

    btw if u press q to dash while your ragdolled you get up essentially giving u an evasive thats how some people were escaping ur combos

    You can hold space and then do 3 to do a combo starter(can extend but it requires good timing and a somewhat difficult tech to pull it off)

    If your gonna main blade master you can aim your first move and if you m1 someone then quickly turns around and use the 1st move to get the back step and turn around again you would be close enough to land some m1s

    Here is a few things I'll let you know if you want to use Atomic Samurai as your main for any future videos: The Atomic Slash ultimate move is true if you downslam someone into it, due to it knocking them back up into the air and by the time they get up the slash hits them and instantly kills them. If you are having trouble starting a combo either move erratically so people don't know when to side dash to hit your back, or pretend to over delay your m1s into a counter. If anyone is using their ultimate and you have yours, then try to stall as much as possible and when they are too close for comfort activate your ultimate so you have more advantage by having a longer lasting ultimate then theirs (this however does not count for Saitama, as any slip up will cost you your life).

    Infernasu you can ragdoll cancel and dash out of some skills its like an evasive and you can also downslam by jumping and finishing the last hit of an m1 combo and you can uppercut by holding the jump button at the end of an m1 combo

    when saitama punches his fists together thats him using ult, some moves bypass the counter like speedblitz dropkick from genos' ult and a couple others
    also the bat character has a passive where when he gets hit he gets ult so thats why he got it even though he did 0 dmg, everyone using metal bat sucks so they just abuse the passive

    when you are on the floor and ragdolled you can sidedash once which uses evasive and makes you not ragdoll but its only usable once

    Tip for landing atomic slash, do 3 M1's into a downslam M1 into 4, if they don't have evasive it stuns them long enough for the 4 to go off and it stuns them in the middle of it.

    Dashes work as true and knockbacking depending on the distanced travelled with them, its kinda buggy but overall:
    Long distances (also medium) travelled with dashes get true stun while short distances only knockback tought sometimes you may might travel a long distance and it still knockbacks or do a short ranged dash and do true stun, idk. Most battlegrounds follow this dash rule thing.

    u can land atomic slash by downslaming or uppercut your enemy it ragdolls them in the downslam/uppercut and ragdolls them again when u do the atomic slash thingy

    honestly blade master is a really cool character, but the issue is that it genuinely has some of the weirdest and confusing combo routes and hitboxes in the game. Half the time (in my experience) its basically an rng character.
    Also atomic slash DOES have hyper armour, its just that one of hero hunter's ult moves completely ignore hyperarmour

    games combat other than evasive is almost exactly like rogue lineage except for the fact they have front dashes and awakenings, so like when you wake up you have hyper armor against certain moves and m1s
