I think that the Focal Chora are very competitive in their price point. You can have different speakers in that price category that all sound good, but will have a slightly different type of sound. So it's more about what you like. I generally like Focal speakers and think that Focal did a good job with the Chora line. I think overall they are good sounding however on certain types of music the midrange sound may be overly apparent. As if they are strong in the midrange. That may be due to the larger cabinet and the fact that they are front ported. This however, helps with the bass extension and midbass punch. So if you like that kind of sound then they"ll be great for you. But the fact that you got such a good price on them, then I'd say that you got a killer deal and should be grateful and excited about it! Happy listening!
