I've never seen cable news. Then again, I've never seen cable TV. Grew up in the boonies - cable wasn't available. Parents have a satellite, but I have no interest.
I only ever had analog with an antenna and eventually a digital TV box. Stopped watching TV altogether 10 years ago. Tore down the antenna and sent it to the dump. No regrets. Keep the TV around to watch DVD's, tapes (yep, got a working VCR), and sometimes play on the PS1 or PS2.
Only thing I miss is the series Blue Bloods and NCIS: LA...though I heard it was cancelled or ended? Shame if that's true.

The first 3 "pop-pop-pop" had a low pitch and no echo. After a slight pause, the next 4 "pap-pap-pap-pap" were much faster, had a higher pitch, and a distinct echo from nearby walls. Then it was 9 seconds before Secret Service ended it with one POW. Why are they NOT REPORTING the slugs and the casings found at the scene?
