I wish Leo had kept it simple and just expanded on that great hook of this piece.
I get it. I felt the same way the first 20 or so times that I heard this song. But every now and then you'll come across a song like this - one that has a small part in it which leaves you in absolute amazement. I think this is awesome in a bitter sweet way. It's like seeing an overwhelmingly beautiful person walk past you on the street, never to be seen again. Fleeting beauty has its place in the world and is definitely a unique but enjoyable feeling. It stirs your imagination and creates yearning. I really enjoy the fact that Brouwer gave as a glimpse into a fantastic sound with this beautiful arrangement, teasing us with what could have been.
I'm just beginning to play guitar. This is so inspiring, it give me the chills! I hope to create beauty like this in the world. Thank you for sharing your talent and the fruits of your hard work.

I have seen this piece played with the intro of the guitar solo by more than one guitarist. (the same one that was played in the OA) Does anyone know where one can find this particular score that includes this intro? So far the only ones I have seen are Brouwer's original version.

This is probably one of the best performances of this piece I have seen. I just became a fan!
You manage to play this with more clarity and control than Leo Brouwer himself.
However, his version is so wild and free and vivacious - things that are too often missing from classical guitar interpretations.
