- This is a product review of Goo Gone Paint Cleaner. I was very impressed by the product and would recommend anyone that does painting in the house give this a shot. It works amazing and very little effort to get the paint up. the tile was masked off when i was going to paint with sprayer but after switching to rolling i didnt bother to mask off the rest of the tile after i started the hallway.

Thank you so much for this! My mother's house was renovated in 1989 and the painter made no attempt to cover the terrazzo floor because my mother was putting in carpet. Not only did this remove this very old, thick overspray, it also pulled up the carpet tape they used to put the carpet in place. We haven't finished emptying the house, so we haven't done the whole floor yet, but so far so good!
Best review for Googone lifesaver. I'm horrible at DIY paint all on my floors but white spirit not working. I'm gonna try this on my laminate flooring. Pray it works thanks for sharing!

Omg. You saved my life! I just had my mom's house remodeled for her birthday, and the lame general contractor failed to incorporate a true cleanup

This stuff saved my floor and me buying new vinyl tiles remodeled my bathroom and didn't use dropcloth and got paint on alot tried a floor scraper to get the big stuff but after that finished with this and it came right up

I just came up on a free bottle of that stuff and was seeing if it was useful for anything else because I’ve never had a hard time cleaning up paint… I was hoping it had some bonus features
Taking paint off of a surface like yours is beyond easy. You don't need a chemical but, I'd like to see if that stuff works on carpets🤔✌

Those sound like ceramic tiles. I wonder how it works on linoleum?

Does anyone know if it works on water based paint. I had a rug on the floor and the contractor still managed to get paint on the hardwood floors underneath. And didn’t bother to clean it up.

Just got mine today, to try and get floor paint up of my stair tiles. And it didn't work 😩 have even tried white spirit and a heat gun and nothing with them either.
I just boil some water and poured on the floor and then mop it up it’s pretty easy
What about on Wood?
Will it work on concrete as well?
Alex Le I would think so I haven't tried it on concrete might get most of it off but because concrete is so pouris it might not get out from the small spots
if its latex paint outside on concrete you just need a pressure washer with 2,700 psi water pressure

I actually used the goo gone. I had to scrub like a maniac though
Using rubbing alcohol I was told it use betterm to see if it helps
Had to speed the video up to 1.5 as it was taking too long but thanks for the information.
When I removed old carpeting I found a practically perfect wood floor, finish is still great, however there are old paint splatters all over it. Will this product remove the finish as well? I am not sure if the paint was oil or latex based. I'm going to search for the old cans in case they were left in the basement.
annieman88 I'm not sure I would read the directions and if u want to try test in a area that is not going to be seen by everyone not a huge area. I know a lot of people just sand down wood floors and refinish them just do to it being faster

For vynyl wood flooring boiling water cleans it right up.
I bought some of this before watching the video and was looking for something that actually worked because this stuff is COMPLETE JUNK! I had to scrub like mad just to get a small bit off ad probably could have done as good a job with soap and water. Terrible.
nope, does not work at all. maybe if the paint is still fresh... and if you have hardwood floor it will damage it if you follow the instructions and leave it for a few minutes.
i still did not find anything better than water to clean up water based paint.
Never painted before and you are going to spray. LoL I would have been too embarrassed to show this video. I would have said I'm cleaning up my brothers mess he made.
YOU ARE NOT A BIG FAN OF MASKING TAPE, ARE YOU? You would have saved hours and hours and more hours of rubbing and scrubbing and scraping, not to mention a sore back, if you had just taken the time to prep the area and floors with painters paper and masking tape. It might have cost you around $20 to save all that energy and time and you wouldn't need the Goo Gone.
You can still have paint with the tape. He said himself he’s no professional and is doing the work himself. Not everyone is an expert..
@@picard9169 I see you took my comment as a slam instead of the constructive advice it was meant to be. You are right in that "not everyone is an expert" BUT most folks can learn something new if they don't shoot the messenger for bringing the message. Take care
