Deaths can run off native or DeathNotes, see guide for more info.
Also exclude groups is for which groups log_groups monitors. Default group will be permanent excluded in 3.0.1.

For a long time I didn’t do any discord linking at all. But now I use Steamcord AND Rustcord.

I know a guy who has this or something similar on his server and then something happened to where his Discord server got banned and his Rust server went down as well because the integration broke somehow. Be careful integrating with 3rd parties I guess if you have a ton of moderation in your Discord or other variables that can break your server. Multiple TOS rules must apply somehow.
I discuss this very issue in an upcoming video. Very soon. But yea, it can happen if you’re not careful.

Hey man, great videos! I got a question i couldnt find an answer for sadly. I got one Discordchannel that logs Chat/Teamchat but i would like that it displays the steamid next to the name of the chatter, kinda like it is logging the players joining. Maybe you know what to do in the config! Keep it up!
Big fan off all your videos!!! Any advice on mods that's Vanilla friendly? Or maybe put it this way, mods admins can use and still have the server on the community servers (not modded)
Follow this rule of thumb, you don’t want to use any plugins that affect the game play. You can only use plugins that are used to moderate your server.
is there a way to make it log ips of people who log in but not admins? I feel like im messing something up because it should be super simple. i tried to add admin group to the line you removed default on 11:40 but its still logging me. yes my admins and I have the no log perms I feel rather silly being stumped at this.
Hi sire Thanks a lot for the video again. I'd like to correct two little thing Cause damn took me a while to find the fix. 1. For those who have GameServerKing you can not upload the dll file as its not allowed by the host. Instead you go in ModManager and the 3rd one is gonna be the one you want. You install it and you good to go with the rest of the video Until the death_pvp flag. It looks like it doesnt exist anymore and neither does death_animal death_npc. But on the flag list you can find log_death and maybe im wrong but I think its reporting all kind of death. Well for now mine has reported pvps and suicides death. I'll let you know if there is anything else.
My biggest question is how do you show clan tags from the servers general chat to discord? No one seems to know this answer

Hey SRTBULL! I've been using this plugin for my server and discord, however for the wipe of July, I'm switching my server host to Icedhost, from gsk. I was able to transfer all of my files, however i notcied whenever I get on the new server with Icedhost, the chat and everything that should be forwarding to my discord, does not send it to the Webhooks. It still works on my [old] server, however not on the new one with icedhost. I was wondering if this is because I will need to have my other server with GSK cancelled first, and the plugins removed from that server? Or if maybe there is something I'm doing wrong. I'm assuming it cant work on 2 servers at once, but I thought I would try to reach out to you in case you had information regarding this.
No this isn’t because of the GSK server. It can stay running forever and won’t affect anything. BUT you have to make sure you’re reporting from your new server and not your old one. Confirm the settings in your config. Make sure you’re reporting the correct server.
I’m assuming you just did a file transfer, straight across from the old server to the new one?
@@srtbull yes, I just copied all on the oxide files over, plug-ins configs and all.
@@srtbull I think I'm having trouble finding exactly where to have the bot report from the server with Icedhost. I've checked through the config files, all of the webhooks are crrect, the Discord bot API is correct, however, I'm not seeing where I can change/add the server it's being reported from. Could you maybe give me the timestamp in the video that would show the config area to make this change?
@@srtbull After digging around, I had realized that I hadn't transferred the "discord" plugin over, and put in in the Rusticated_Data folder, thanks for the quick reply though, Bull!

I have Ruscord all the notifications are working fine for my discord but for some reason i get the death notification on my console from death note but nothing on game chat or Discord :( i also replaced Simple by DeathNotes like your showing on your video but no result so far can you tell me if im missing something please? i am also using the right flags plugin_deathnotes_pvp

I've done several on this topic. Rustcord and UltimateRcon+, plus many others will give you visibility to F7 reports.

hey srtbull I know this isnt what the video is about but I thought you might see this faster if its in the new video you made... My question is with a rust dedicated server can I make a second server thats modded while still having my vanilla server up and if so is it the same process as making a new server?
Yes and no. Technically you can have oxide installed on a vanilla server. So you could technically run it from the same instance that you’re using for a modded server. Just make sure you separate where each one is looking for oxide files from, using the “oxide.directory” cvar. And make sure in the oxide config for the vanilla server, you have modded set to false. Make sense?

not sure if you will respond I have a shockbite rust server and was watching online how to install whitelist did everything right but when i hit F1 and try to put my steam ID in tells me can not find it? my server shows up in steam under favorites? is this whitelist plugin really work?
I set this up the other day on my server, and reports from the server to discord work great. However, no chat from discord is going to the game. Is there something I need to set up in the config for two-way communication?
It’s all about setting up permissions.
I am having an issue with this plugin. I am hosting in a private server and controlling with an AMP portal. I have full plugin functionality, BUT the bot will randomly start incessantly spamming the "Supply drop has landed" server notification. There is no information in the console, there is nothing directing my troubleshooting process. I really need help with this one because It has done this since the first time I had it running successfully.
For some weird reason I can not get deathnotes to display into my discord channel, rustcord does all the other alerts but jsut not deathnote.... frustrating, ill keep at it.

There is a line in your config that defines ‘simple’ or deathnotes.

how do you make so that if you type a message in discord to send to server, you can set them so they go in a particular channel in discord. At moment, if I type a message in public, it goes to server. I would like to send them from another channel but can't see anything about doing this in the notes, or am I missing something?.

Hey Srt, i am trying to find a way to make my server announce when a Human Npc Spawns in, i am trying to set up bosses at monuments. IS there any plugins that would make it easier? Also how do i stop Scientist from attacking my NPCs

I did mention the idea and they said it wasn’t something they’d be interested in doing. Too many variables that could cause issues. Ie, different types of bot plugins.

broo i did not get a .json on download for rustcord, its just a .cs I havnt seen anyone make the .json manually
You’ll never have to manually create a config. What response do you get in console if you o.reload Rustcord?
I scrapped the idea of it because I couldn't find any other dll's in my servers files thru FileZilla. For me to put the discord extension in anyway 🤯
Some hosts actually block access to the managed folder and you may need to get them to add the extension if you decide to pursue this later.
the managed folder doesn't exist on gtx gaming servers were do I install it
So that means your provider doesn’t allow access to it. You’ll have to contact them and get them to install it

It still doesn't work for me .. the server is not loading the plugin for some reason .. i have done everything correctly i am sure..
Has there been a change since this was released? The discord chat is not being sent to ingame but it works from game-discord. I have the msg_chat there but it just doesnt go both ways. The commands in the channel for cmd_allow and cmd_ban dont work either

yeah... its been sometime that this feature dont work. so its not your side... the plugin need to be updated.

In the Discord App Settings, there is also a enable/disable for "MESSAGE CONTENT INTENT" under the Privileged Gateway Intents, the "PRESENCE INTENT" AND "SERVER MEMBERS INTENT" are both mentioned in this video, but Message Content is not... turned that on, reloaded the plugin all working 🙂

I have redone my bot numerous times and i still keep getting an error saying that my token is invalid
the coding looks different in the current mod. i have no idea where to put the token there is a general settings but its not the same

When you installed the Discord Ext, was the server offline?
Usually a server reboot would solve this issue.

Check your details. Make sure all information is correct. If the bot isn’t coming online it means it’s boss isn’t telling it to.

If i have "game_report" set up to one of my discord channels does that not report the F7 reports or is that a separate thing? I tried some sample test reporting and nothing is communicating with that channel other then the log in and log off reports. I also do not get F7 reports on the Rust main menu screen. Where do I see these reports?
Same here, it's enabled as "true" and I have log_f7reports as a flag. Not sure what's up. If you find a solution, can you please let me know?

You just have to confirm your discord server id and channel ids. Or the bot is totally confused and doesn’t know where it is.
