"A New World"
The world was once as dark as night, but then God said: "Let there be light". The light appeared it shone so bright, and so began the day and night.
Then God made the great big sky. He made it wide, he made it high, with puffy clouds to sail on by, Oh, what a sky!
Then God made the rocks and land. He made the dirt, he made the sand. He told the plants and trees to grow and it was so!
Then God made a ball of light, the yellow sun so big and bright - with moon and stars to shine at night. They were such a pretty sight!
Then God spoke these special words: "Let there be some fish and birds. Let them fill the sea and sky, and swim and fly!"
Then God filled the land with cats, and cows and sheep, and dogs and bats, and every creature you can find- two of each and every kind.
Then God said "I have a plan. I'll make a woman and a man. I'll let them rule the land and sea. They will be a lot like me!"
And so it was when God was through and there was nothing left to do, God decided it was best to have a special day of rest.
