Agumbe - A village where Malgudi Days was filmed

Agumbe is a very small village of Karnataka, where famous Novel MALGUDI DAYS written by Sri R K Narayan was filmed. A house of 150years old called in local as DODDAMANE was the house of Swamy in Malgudi days episode. Visitors are allowed inside the house to have a glimpse and even to stay also. The village has in its center, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Sri Venu Gopala Krishna. If you are travelling from Chickmagaluru to Udupi take a short break in Agumbe.
