Has Gerard Way ever been good live? I've never seen a single live performance on youtube where he even tries to hit notes and is usually out of breath.
if you looking for that in mcr, yes maybe your right, Gerard usually doesn't sing perfect, but thats not what the band it's about, even their inspiration isn't about that (punk/rock/and alternative rock) they don't care about been "good famous" they only wanna take their shit out (with music and lyrics) and give hope to their fans
Idk why but the video never truely do his singing abilities justice ( actually I think it's a mix of loud music and the people recording's mouvements) Saw em live and he was amazing , all of them were ( Ray was like a machine srsly), I was expecting breathlessness but not at all .He had a few" breaks" where he let us sing which was to be expected for a show this lenght
That’s not rly the point of their live performances, to hear quality vocals lol. If you want that go to like ed sheeran or Shawn mendes or smthn. It’s more about the experience, about letting go, about wildin out but still screaming out the message of these songs. Although if you want quality, their reading performances are actually really good. 2006 in particular. I also like their Hurricane Festival performance. And maybe the Itunes festival one if u can find it. Also it’s not really breathlessness you hear in this clip. He is just singing however he feels. You can tell cuz he immediately transitions to super long notes (which are slightly different from studio ones) and isn’t really out of breath. So it’s more on if he just chooses to try and sound perfect.
