"Wow black didn't resign...SOLID!"
Ben makes lectures just soooo entertaining. This for me is what chess is all about and the best way to learn, because I actually enjoy it. I literally laugh out loud at most of his jokes, specifically the ones such as "because Qh6 is mate, and that will give white the advantage" haha.
Thanks again, as always Ben.
indeeeeed!.. very suspicious!!! :))))
And if you don't think he's the best then you're terrible! XD
:)
This guy is the best chess lecturer giver ever
He gives lecturers? Terrible. Also very suspicious. Also frankly, etcetera, mostly etcetera.
"do we have clearance, Clarence"
What's our vector, Victor?
This dude would be an awesome coach. I could imagine him talking tons of mess about my games lol
I love these.
more finegold please!!
From 12:25 "h6"??.... "No wonder why the lights wents off" hahaha
Ben’s the most entertaining chess dude ever
Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra
Jessica Crawford Star Trek?
Loved the random Simpsons reference.
Why does Ben sweat so much... lol, love the guy, just wow..
big guy, hot lights, talking a lot, probably would develop a swampy sweat myself
Because his jokes are fire. If you stood at ground zero of his delivery you'd be doing far worse than sweating.
Ben is best !!
This guy is hilarious
Go Ben
At 29:30, how about Qf2? Defend the knight and the pawn?
Nxe4
Fabiano btw is Italian as well. He is a pluri Italian champion, before decided to play for USA.
Caruana is Italian descent, but he's never lived in Italy and I'm told by people that speak Italian that Caruana's command of the Italian language isn't very good.
nice
Q: what moves does the computer recommend when black appears to have no attacking options...
10:25 what about Bb2 ? Instead of Qe1
Probably still defends, but is less active, gives black back control of some dark squares
26:44
:)
Ok, he is a good man but, I am talking about his analysis and presentation. It is not a personal thing. I've never met the guy. look at first game analysis, Caruana vs Meyer.
His main points are that black attacks and fails. and then white wins. Does he say why black failed ..no other than obliquely claiming blacks white bishop was weak compared to white!
That is not very good in my opinion. I mean what can u learn from this? Now if he a winning line or a defense for black that would be different story.
I am a teacher, and he is making an awasome display of didactics !! in other videos he shows what you want but when he does not tell is because is more or less obvious, is an opinion too ;)
I have to disagree. Actually Ben explained what went wrong for black. It's simply that white's bishop supports the attack while black's bishop doesn't. And this is because black traded pieces in a certain way. He didn't explain the moral though. "don't play this line of the French" ;-)
He doesn't spell it out for you. You have to pay attention and think, and even then you only glean a few information here and there. The nice thing about Ben though is that the things you do learn are correct. So many other YT channels digress on a line with incorrect reasoning, or they explain 5 different pathways 5 moves deep, so that you can no longer track what's going on. These are not only uninstructive but very long and tedious.
You can either have a lot of fun but only morsels of instruction from Ben, or have no fun and receive an information overload, that as a student you aren't qualified to parse through for what's important. Chess is complex and no teacher is going to do it perfectly.
@@Blaisem I agree with this analysis the most I struggle to find how to learn those long girthy lines but watching finegolds analysis is by far the most entertaining
Come on Fiengold you can get to the point faster and more crisply.
Watch Chess Explained or King Crusher. Granted, you have a home audience that apparently you discuss current topics with and allude to in your videos, but you have lost someone like me who just wants you to get to the point! I promise you'll get more likes and hits on UA-cam.
Finegold doesn't have a speech impediment, and he is higher rated.
i didnt say that he had an impediment.. just that he needs to prepare what he going to say and then not kibbitz so much if he wants an international audience. but i see the videos are more focused on a local crowd, so its all good.he is a good man no doubt.
He has 30 years of experience man. He knows how to teach a lesson. I've learned a lot from him due to the fact he puts things in a way that even lower rated players can understand.
Ascended Agreed. GM Finegold is a treasure of the UA-cam Chess World - He is truly enjoyable to watch and is a wonderful Professor of Chess.
Bro finegold actually makes chess fun and awesome to learn
at 28:15 who is "She" you keep refering to? Was MVL playing against a female, or were you talking about the queen?
christopher clark MVL is playing against Hou Yifan, the highest rated female chess player in the world.
