yea. 2022 was another good one, even though it has Star Walking as the anthem (IMO, weakest anthem), it has very a great stage. Everything looked so expensive. While 2023... it was a pity they went to 2020 ugly CGI route this year. I guess they prefer to use expensive Kpop idols instead of focus on making the stage as great as this one. Well, at least those girls gave Keria good buff to win this year. So it didn't matter.
Might as well look forward next ceremony. Hoping they'll extra effort. I'm not asking much. This year's ceremony was good wihtout much further ado.
@@chickennerd2085 well to be fair, GODS was a really really really good worlds song. I didn't like the CGI either, and quite literally the only KPOP artist I listen to is Soyeon (Akali in this video) but I'm alright with them spending a lot of money on NewJeans for a song as good as that.
I remember this opening ceremony just leaving me in awe of the effects afterwards. No worlds has even come remotely close to how impressed this year's did!

Duckwrth, Thutmose, and Becky G are the most clear differences (note I'm not saying they sound bad, I think everyone killed it in the performance) from the produced animated music video. Keke's voice matches so well with how it was made in the animation though that you can't tell with her. That's how well she sang it, it's perfect.

they cut heartsteel's song short 🥲 second chorus was gone and went straight into bridge
Heartsteel's song did not live up to K/DA and True Damage despite them supposed to being the boy version of K/DA. Also, some of the singers were kind of lacking stage presence.
@@minxili3317 I think it depends on how you look at it. One thing many loved with Heartsteel that was different from the other bands were their group dynamic and ”the boyz” doing all this wacky hijinx so it was never meant to be the exact same as K/DA just men. Considering Bakehyun is part EXO and used to being on the stage, I think the stage presence issue is Riot. Like they didn’t give them much to work with? True Damage was much better organized despite the members mostly being out on the stage individually ’til the end.
