Crash Team Racing - Pinstripe (Boss)

- This is me playing Crash Team Racing for the Playstation. This game is probably the best cart racing game I've played. But that aside, I figured I'd upload the boss races as I do them. The last normal boss is Pinstripe, and this is a really damn hard race. Pinstripe can catch up to you easily, and if he's in front of you, you're in trouble. However, Pinstripe is my favorite character and best racer, so it's cool.
Note: These boss vidoes were done on my first try. If you notice, once you beat the 4th race of a world, the boss confronts you BEFORE you race him once, which is what I have in the video. So don't comment that you think you're so much better or that I suck at the game just because I happen to have a bad run. If you're much better, upload a video, otherwise you're probably either lying or just stupid.

Pinstripe really seems to to be getting more popular these days he wasn't always popular back then it seems.

Pinstripe is a fucking monster compared to oxide. You can leave oxide in the dust. Not so much for pinstripe.
I'll admit, Potty even plays by the rules, while Oxide straight-up CHEATS.
Looking at various uploads of people racing the bosses on UA-cam, Nitros Oxide does look harder to beat if you're in 2nd place. Though I don't recall seeing anyone leaving Pinstripe in the dust as effectively as they did with Oxide.

wow i remember playing this in summer could never pass this boss!!!! so i always play splitscreen with friends then found the game last week and blew right thru the rest of it :D

I know a really good shortcut at this track. when you get close to the short wall after the big jump, go past it, then turn around, go back up the ramp you go down, and jump over the wall.

Just finished playing as Pinstripe at Oxide Station single race(7 laps), lol I love this guy, my favourite CB character! You gotta love his tommy gun and his quotes:)
You really have to wonder what cortex was thinking when he desided to create pinstripe...
Maybe something along the lines of "Let's make chicargo's rat problem worse!"
(I just pray I got his spicies right, or this joke falls flat...)
Pinstripe was hell much harder than nitrous oxidize I beat nitrous on my second try pinstripe took hours I never could get the power slides right and the bombs just coming the only way I beat him was by leaving my clock stopper or the watch that slows down racers until the final lap just before he crossed the finish line and then landing on the power boost and getting aku aku to pass him and win the race I only got by on strategy I played this game and crash nitro cart when I was younger pinstripe is still the hardest boss I ever fought and in the remakes he is even harder
pinstripe is the coolest and this really brings back memories lol

i like that ride, is my favorite, and the music is great
It's like a slide power boost thing, I forget what it's called, but if you press R1 at the right time while sliding, you get a small boost.

@nostalgiajuan I grew up with this racer too. Both Mario and Crash made my childhood; and I miss the game by just watching, actually.

This is probably the most enjoyable playstation game i've ever played, so many fun-filled hours in my younger years. Will always remember it. :)
it took me quite a few times, but i beat him when out of pure luck pinstripe fell off the track twice on the second lap (i think i left a potion in front of a few jumps). boss characters always seemed to take longer to recover from fall outs...

In the middle of the second lap, Pinstripe was proper destroying you with those bombs. Happened to me too.

hey, is this on epsxe? if it is, what r ur settings to get all the sounds working cause for me, during the dialogue screens like where pinstripe says "fuggedaboutit" (lol) I only get silence. plz respond, the voices were the funny parts of this game and it sucks whithout them

The best cart racer ever. None come close to the sense of speed in CTR.
Tied with my other 2 favorite racing games, SSX Tricky and F-Zero X.
I loved this game! Played it for hours xD Knows all the maps and everything xD Probably the game I've played the most in my life :D It's awesome! Wish they would remake it (THIS VERSION) to Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Nintendo ect. :D The new versions are not good... Hey... Maybe my old dusty Playstation still works? Gonna try it tonight! See ya :D

i swear down i saw it go on the loading screen and i think my head broke, the amount of time my game spent loading or crashing on the loadign screen, unbelievable.

I loved this Map. My favorite track in the whole game next to Papu's Pyramid.
what i love is slowing bosses down by putting tnt and nitro,potions on the cliffs so they drop :D cos u look at the map and u see their dot stops then gets put backwards :D ^^

This is a awesome game I am 12 and I have been playing this since I was 7 definitely the best cart game I have ever played and that is pretty good racing considering he used no shortcuts
