it was late for me to really appreciate namjoon. and when i did open my eyes, ears and heart and soul to him and his work, oh my Lord was I aaaaaaamazed. he is sooo underrated and i feel so sorry for not looking beyond and seeing through him. my mind is blown away by him. all of him. his mind, his lyricism, his artistry, his passion. so worthy to be the band’s leader and central part of bangtan.
There is something about Wild Flower. It’s my absolutely favorite song of all songs. It gives me strength. It soothes me. I never tire of hearing it. The music video is beautiful. Joon has a way with his lyricism. A true poet and amazing artist.
I don't know how to describe wildflower, for me it's just the best song by any artist ever. It is one of those songs I just listen a few times because it makes me cry every time. RM explains here how he has everything, (fame,money, etc) but for him all that is useless, and he compares it with a firework, because it explodes and immediately dissappears, but he prefers to be a wildflorer instead because it is on the ground and is not as shiny. He is showing his vulnerability and humbleness by saying he prefers to have nothing and have his feet on the ground but would rather prefer to be happy like a wildflower. Also, at the end he says that he'll return someday(the stadium scene) , probably referring when he comes back of the military service, ❤❤ I love how every sentence of this work is relatable poetry and pure art. RM is very handsome. I love his dragon eyes 💜 Youjeen has a powerful voice. RM said In His album review that if Youjeen couldn't do Flower Work with him, he would have changed the lyrics or the entire song. I'm so glad that she accepted because Flower Work is my favorite song in the album.
Oh and one thing about their lyrics: they want to give people the space to think for themselves and have freedom for own interpretation . That’s why so many people can relate to their songs. They are genius. RM is a true poet and great artist.

As I sit here drinking my coffee from my Moon Child mug that my 15 year old niece got me for my birthday, I find myself once again consoled by someone else's thorns. I lost my mother on January 17th 2022 and my life has not been the same since. Knowing that you are still living through day by day makes me believe that I will get through this. Some of ARMY'S favourite BTS and solo songs don't have videos. All I can advise is dig into every album, they are all amazing! BTS lyricism and musicality is unrivalled. Their music is for people who want to feel something.💜
I bought the INDIGO album by RM. It was really surprising and works as a whole yet it crosses many genre and works with artists that surprise you and would normally not be considered by youth obsessed kpop. So once again sticking to BTS tradition of defying expectation. He collabs with industry venerables such as Erykah Badu. It is full of creativity and surprise. Set to be one-off those cult classic albums. Though there is no track that I do not love.. My favourites are STILL LIFE, CHANGE, LONELY, and WILDFLOWER. I like it all really and some of the lyrics just stay with you. "You run away like a fish". " fold it origami...they got you by the balls and your socioeconomics"
Yes, RM is the best in this generation and probably no one will be like him in the next generations. His lyricism and artistry are just undeniably genius. I suggest you listen to his whole Indigo album. It's a masterpiece! 💜💜💜

Thank you Pat! I saw the WildFlower video a few weeks ago and thought it was beautiful. I felt his anguish and pain, but I didn't fully grasp the lyrics until you gave your take on it. This song is a journey, and I like how you said he came to the conclusion that he will die happy. I get that from RM. While he writes deep and sad lyrics with the weight of the world on his shoulders, I believe he is more grounded and at peace than most of us. Thanks! 💜 As for BTS videos you must watch, I love 00:00 (Zero O'Clock) live performance. Not only is it beautiful, but the lyrics talk about how we all can start each day over at zero o'clock and not worry about what went wrong. Then Boy With Luv and Dimple are cute and fun. And finally you must see the spectacular and impressive outdoor performance of ON Kinetic Manifesto. The group choreography and the setting at the Sepulveda Dam in LA is a show not to miss! The video set records in the first minutes and hours of release. It's awesome!
For me bts is about connection. They help me feeling like I belong. I feel more connected to people, to myself and my feelings. Every feeling. No matter if it’s sadness, anger, fear, pain, love, joy, goofiness, relief… I can feel all that through their music and videos. And grow around it. 12:33
All the bts members who have released their solo project could have made a main stream song which can go instantly viral but they choose to stay minimalistic n say their true story as a true artist is a sign of a true artist. As their big name 'BTS' they could have gone with the something like a trendy song but they chose to stay true to themselves n true to their music is a very big thing.
I feel like 'Blood Sweat and Tears' is definitely a must watch to start. 'Permission to Dance' is also very easy to get into. 'I need U'... I mean, it's 'I need U'... I don't even know what to say about it. (Honorable mention : 'Black Swan')
By using collaborators and different genre and with a magicians touch RM has achieved that impossible thing ..... something new and relevant to our times. A future cult classic INDIGO is a brilliant patchwork that comforts and is beautiful. Whether your favourite is STILL LIFE, LONELY, CHANGE. CLOSER, WILDFLOWER HUN etc. It is the whole kaleidoscopic picture that so represents these confusing troublesome times we have lived through. The comfort comes from the beauty and truth he conjures.
Moonchild and Forever Rain are both off RM's second mixtatpe "mono." Still Life and Moonchild are from his first solo album, "Indigo." Each of the tracks on Indigo feature another artist, and all have a slightly different sound. Both albums tell a story when listened to start to finish, as RM and BTS often do. As you noticed, RM's lyrics are powerful, and poetic, and they make you think. He often draws on literature, philosophy and art as inspiration. He truly is a gifted lyracist, and his heart and mind are poured directly into his music. 💜

ahhhhh!!!! wild flower is amazing. if you haven’t already you need to listen to his album Indigo which has wild flower and still life on it. the entire album is a beautiful listening experience from beginning to end. and you’ll be amazed at how namjoon picks the perfect people to collaborate and bring the energy he envisioned into it. hearing it for the first time was an out of body experience.
I think when you start their group stuff some things that showcase a bit of their personality and a few songs is a good way to start. I highly recommend BTS Room Live 2021 Festa! They are not the most popular but definitely some of my favorites. "Make It Right (feat. Lauv)" and "FAKE LOVE" - both have music video. Another song I like a lot and may not be to everyone's liking is "Louder than bombs"- unfortunately it doesn't have music video but the color coded lyric are ok too. Ooh, this is controversial. Moonchild is one of my favourites, and everyone can have their own interpretation. The alternative explanation can turn into a whole essay so I'll stick to the basics. SK is a country where LGBT community is not free. So it's members are referred to as moonchildren. They have to keep their identities and activities in the dark. Can't breathe in the sunlight - open. SK has the highest Sv1c1de rate in the world, not only among young ppl but also the LGBT community. This song was written at a time when we lost many idols and celebrities in this way. Most notably one of Tae's best friends. Now, I'm not saying that's why he took his own life, but we feel it contributed to the song. Why is GLAD big, bold, and red? In the good old days, we used to be G.L.A.D. - Gay and Lesbian Activists and Defenders. Before all the letters changed and expanded. I'll not go into it any further - we could be here all day. BTS has indicated many times that they support the LGBT community and for that reason, 99% of their songs are "genderless". The song is also very intimate, which means he might be talking about himself, and/or someone he is very close to.

I bought the INDIGO album by RM. It was really surprising and works as a whole yet it crosses many genre and works with artists that surprise you and would normally not be considered by youth obsessed kpop. So once again sticking to BTS tradition of defying expectation. He collabs with industry venerables such as Erykah Badu. It is full of creativity and surprise. Set to be one-off those cult classic albums. Though there is no track that I do not love.. My favourites are STILL LIFE, CHANGE, LONELY, and WILDFLOWER. I like it all really and some of the lyrics just stay with you. "You run away like a fish". " fold it origami...they got you by the balls and your socioeconomics"
Moonchild is the song that shows the amount of wisdom rm has even though he is still so young

I love your interpretations, they are very intuitive. I think Namjoon is a very artistic soul, lyrically and also very visual. You can see he is very into art. Thank you Pat! I saw the WildFlower video a few weeks ago and thought it was beautiful. I felt his anguish and pain, but I didn't fully grasp the lyrics until you gave your take on it. This song is a journey, and I like how you said he came to the conclusion that he will die happy. I get that from RM. While he writes deep and sad lyrics with the weight of the world on his shoulders, I believe he is more grounded and at peace than most of us. Thanks! 💜
As for BTS videos you must watch, I love 00:00 (Zero O'Clock) live performance. Not only is it beautiful, but the lyrics talk about how we all can start each day over at zero o'clock and not worry about what went wrong. Then Boy With Luv and Dimple are cute and fun. And finally you must see the spectacular and impressive outdoor performance of ON Kinetic Manifesto. The group choreography and the setting at the Sepulveda Dam in LA is a show not to miss! The video set records in the first minutes and hours of release. It's awesome!
For me bts is about connection. They help me feeling like I belong. I feel more connected to people, to myself and my feelings. Every feeling. No matter if it’s sadness, anger, fear, pain, love, joy, goofiness, relief… I can feel all that through their music and videos. And grow around it. 12:33

All the bts members who have released their solo project could have made a main stream song which can go instantly viral but they choose to stay minimalistic n say their true story as a true artist is a sign of a true artist. As their big name 'BTS' they could have gone with the something like a trendy song but they chose to stay true to themselves n true to their music is a very big thing.
I feel like 'Blood Sweat and Tears' is definitely a must watch to start. 'Permission to Dance' is also very easy to get into. 'I need U'... I mean, it's 'I need U'... I don't even know what to say about it. (Honorable mention : 'Black Swan')
Indigo is masterpiece ✨ it's a perfect album with 10 tracks
By using collaborators and different genre and with a magicians touch RM has achieved that impossible thing ..... something new and relevant to our times. A future cult classic INDIGO is a brilliant patchwork that comforts and is beautiful. Whether your favourite is STILL LIFE, LONELY, CHANGE. CLOSER, WILDFLOWER HUN etc. It is the whole kaleidoscopic picture that so represents these confusing troublesome times we have lived through. The comfort comes from the beauty and truth he conjures.
Sometimes it is hard to recognise the happy moments and not just live the daily life.
Moonchild and Forever Rain are both off RM's second mixtatpe "mono." Still Life and Moonchild are from his first solo album, "Indigo." Each of the tracks on Indigo feature another artist, and all have a slightly different sound. Both albums tell a story when listened to start to finish, as RM and BTS often do. As you noticed, RM's lyrics are powerful, and poetic, and they make you think. He often draws on literature, philosophy and art as inspiration. He truly is a gifted lyracist, and his heart and mind are poured directly into his music. 💜

Pat, you will absolutely go crazy for his newest solo album, Indigo! Wildflower and Still Life are both from it, and all but 2 of the songs are collabs. And let me tell you, RM knows how to do a collab!!!!
I love all of these songs! RM is a master lyricist, a true poet, a genius with depth. The tone of his voice is soothing, whether rapping or singing. He’s going soon into the military, so this is a very timely reaction. We will miss him and think of him, playing his songs while he is learning new a new skill set.

ahhhhh!!!! wild flower is amazing. if you haven’t already you need to listen to his album Indigo which has wild flower and still life on it. the entire album is a beautiful listening experience from beginning to end. and you’ll be amazed at how namjoon picks the perfect people to collaborate and bring the energy he envisioned into it. hearing it for the first time was an out of body experience.

Enjoyed your RM marathon reaction! If you slow down the video during the storm you'll catch glimpses of cameras, microphones, equipment that he's had to face and deal with. The first time I heard Wildflower it tore at my heart, I don't know any artist that has done that recently to me.

Hi!! first of all I love your reactions.💜 I don't think I've been an army that long (5 years) but I would like to recommend some songs to you. They are not the most popular but definitely some of my favorites. "Make It Right (feat. Lauv)" and "FAKE LOVE" - both have music video. Another song I like a lot and may not be to everyone's liking is "Louder than bombs"- unfortunately it doesn't have music video but the color coded lyric are ok too. If you would like to see some live performance I highly recommend "Magic Shop Live Performance" and "Film out @ MUSIC BLOOD".

I love Wild Flower. Suga still is my bias as only he knows how to pull you in a shed tears imo of course. But RM and Suga are lyrical genius' most people say RM but really they both are. Only difference is RM uses word play more where suga will throw down with ya. I love Sugas rap style more but I absolutely love all three of the rappers and 4 of the vocals. Bang PD I don't know how he did it putting these 7 together but there isn't another group like them. Thanks for saying RM is handsome, he really is. RM, Suga, Jhope. Ooh, this is controversial. Moonchild is one of my favourites, and everyone can have their own interpretation.
The alternative explanation can turn into a whole essay so I'll stick to the basics.
SK is a country where LGBT community is not free. So it's members are referred to as moonchildren. They have to keep their identities and activities in the dark. Can't breathe in the sunlight - open. SK has the highest Sv1c1de rate in the world, not only among young ppl but also the LGBT community. This song was written at a time when we lost many idols and celebrities in this way. Most notably one of Tae's best friends. Now, I'm not saying that's why he took his own life, but we feel it contributed to the song.
Why is GLAD big, bold, and red? In the good old days, we used to be G.L.A.D. - Gay and Lesbian Activists and Defenders. Before all the letters changed and expanded.

BTS has indicated many times that they support the LGBT community and for that reason, 99% of their songs are "genderless". The song is also very intimate, which means he might be talking about himself, and/or someone he is very close to.
