Somehow I had missed R&J's vlog post from about a year ago here: ua-cam.com/video/2ld4xd2SYQw/v-deo.html In it R mentions their interest in moving and directly compares Tokyo and Fukuoka. At the time R says she had only met M one other time and had never been to Fukuoka. Granted, late 2017 into early 2018 saw several long-time J-vlogers moving so it seems in keeping with the state of things. M is a good advocate for the south island area.
So I actually got to meet you guys during ohanami season! Now I understand why you guys were around this time! Hope to bump into you guys again sometime soon! :D
Really enjoyed visiting Fukuoka for the first time last month! The city has a chilled feel to it, like somewhere you could actually live rather than being crazy and busy. And it was a great base for day trips to other places in Kyushu.
Cakes with Faces would you be living as a gaijin or assimilate? I was married to one and it’s not as easy to live there as it looks. If you just plan to live a couple of years it’s perfect but to live forever, no. What do gaijin do for income? I taught. Are there more opportunities?
I know Rachel and Jun have many real-world considerations to evaluate, but I really hope they choose to move to Fukuoka. My motivations are simple and selfish -- I think all 4 would become good friends, and post more often.

Update finished the video! Rachel should so move to Fukuoka and I really need to visit Itoshima next time I'm back it looks beautiful :D. Also to any foreigners visiting for a short time like I did there's a language school called Genkijacs that has short summer programs which was great the first time I was in Fukuoka as it was the first time I came to Japan and made everything a lot easier :)

Micaela ミカエラ Hm! Things like where to find a pet friendly apartment would be tops for me since we have two cats. Other than that, maybe anything you think is important about just finding an apartment in general, maybe even popular neighborhoods people like to rent in and why? I think another thing I’d really like to see if what move in protocol is. I didn’t know until recently that it’s not uncommon to give your landlord a gift as thanks for moving in, for example.

The best part for me was 4:49 - "let's jump in the vines!" then bang... PUMP THE SATURATION TO THE MAX!!! It made me laugh. Although, I do have to wonder if M did the whole red hair thing because R was visiting. Really enjoyed the spontaneity of the video. In an odd way, in just over eleven minutes, this particular video felt like a mash up of most of Micaela's time on UA-cam. It really had elements of nearly all her other videos in one. 1. Voice over with elements of a travel guide 2. Images of going around downtown Fuk town 3. Canal City 4. Mandatory food pics, eating, etc. at "one of her favorite places" 5. Shots from inside a moving car 6. Beach visit 7. Nature / Forest shots 8. Modeling poses that are goofy, silly, funny, then serious... then back to goofy 9. Haha, thanks for the analysis! I like comments like these, they're so much fun. I have had my hair red for about two months now. Since March, actually, but a lot of the videos I posted in March were shot earlier in the year so you can't really tell on UA-cam. But I just wanted a change from my old blonde colour. Red is super hard to maintain and fades fast (for those of us not blessed with natural red locks, RACHEL!) so I might just go to black or brown next. ;p The super-saturation in the photos was how Tatsu chose to edit them, and he always edits them before he sends the data to me. They're his "art" so I can't really do much about that--but I made the same comment about them being super saturated when I saw them too. Haha. I think Rachel and I are similar in a lot of ways too! Hanging out with her was really easy because she's got a wild imagination and can spin off of ideas, which is very similar to my sense of humor too, but she's very outgoing where I'm more reserved, and yet we're both really socially awkward dorks. Haha. It was easy to spend four days with her though! She's a lot of fun and I have nothing but positive things to say about her

One of my aunts is half Japanese and I think she said that her family from that side was from Fukuoka. Definitely Kyushu at the very least. She visited Japan for the first time last year, partly to go to where the Japanese side of her family is from.

Both are cute, but I like Micaela even more... Fukuoka is as modern as any major city in Japan, even though it doesn't get as much profile as most other cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Kobe. A lot of people do not know that it is one of the top 10 most populous cities of Japan and it a lot less densely populated than most of the others are. That in many ways is a plus. Aside from the Chubu and Kansai Regions, Kyushu is my favourite region of Japan.
Omg~ I used to attend high school next to ohori koen and all the places in this video I have been to, so I just really miss Living in Fukuoka and all my friends there >~< the VR section in Hakata station looks new! I'm so happy seeing you share videos of Fukuoka, Videos from where I lived just interests me more than fx. Tokyo or Osaka ^_^ I hope you keep up your Fukuoka content!!^^ (sorry if my english is poor)

博多ん者の自覚があるのに、味覚がナゴヤ人になってて、和食に限って味が合わなかったりするけど、いい意味でのルーズライフを楽しめるし福岡はお勧めですよ。

いつも楽しく見させて頂いています。今回も福岡(一部佐賀)の魅力がギュッとつまった動画で楽しかったです^^ 私は以前大濠公園の近くに住んでいたので大濠公園にもよく行っていました。ほんと、あそこは落ち着きますね。ただ、最もお気に入りだったのは福岡城展望台下の鉄の橋をくぐって、南側を回り野球場から鴻臚館の展示棟に出る遊歩道でした。苔むした地面と鬱蒼とした木々に夕日が斜めに当たる瞬間が太古の森みたいでとても好きでした。また行きたいな~。(腰が重い・・・)

I was thinking about attending NILS in the future and wanted to learn more about Fukuoka. It's nice to hear more about this city. I don't really hear much about it compared to Kyoto or other places in Japan!
Fukuoka looks lovely to visit! My fiancee and I both would love Ohori Park I'm sure and miyufa-that place in the mountains! And it looks like you all had fun while exploring and visiting. :)
One of my aunts is half Japanese and I think she said that her family from that side was from Fukuoka. Definitely Kyushu at the very least. She visited Japan for the first time last year, partly to go to where the Japanese side of her family is from.

Fukuoka is as modern as any major city in Japan, even though it doesn't get as much profile as most other cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Kobe. A lot of people do not know that it is one of the top 10 most populous cities of Japan and it a lot less densely populated than most of the others are. That in many ways is a plus.
Aside from the Chubu and Kansai Regions, Kyushu is my favourite region of Japan.
Omg~ I used to attend high school next to ohori koen and all the places in this video I have been to, so I just really miss Living in Fukuoka and all my friends there >~< the VR section in Hakata station looks new! I'm so happy seeing you share videos of Fukuoka, Videos from where I lived just interests me more than fx. Tokyo or Osaka ^_^ I hope you keep up your Fukuoka content!!^^ (sorry if my english is poor)
