Hi Stu, Thanks for sharing a heads up on no star notes liked you predicted. Good call. I have been collecting every star note the last 4years now. Hard to find but I do have a few form every nomination so far. Will be even harder to fine now since they stopped doing it. Take care and stay well and be safe my friend. 🙏 Bill 😎👍
Well, didn’t I say in your last video that you hoarded all of the star notes? Haha! Oh well, at least I found a few. Thanks for the info. I’m still going to search for them! Blessings always my dear friend! ❤️🙏😊
I had a 2017A $2 strap with the new wording on the band but it was still sequential (01-00). Even though we don't technically need them, I do wish we were keeping star notes in production. Coin collectors get all sorts of cool new designs and releases - this is the one thing we have! Additionally I wonder if this will make cash handlers hate new currency even more...
This is just an opinion, but I feel like the BEP will be aware of that, and may start issuing uncut sheets with stars on them, to make uncut sheets more appealing.
This is why I'm not seeing as many star notes.I was holding the 2013 b series notes of course over 100 of them.Otherwise just the rare star notes not the common ones.Im glad I kept about 500 rare star notes.
I’m so glad I made another appearance on your channel! I am glad I helped you in educating people who collect these star notes like I do that the rumors are true, no more New Star notes as of February 9, 2024
Glad I managed to get a full strap of 100 2021 $1 star notes in normal sequential order before the change. Wow. End of era.... It'll be interesting to see what the future holds.....
Hello, I have heard the same issue from a few collectors/sellers. 1. Error "or" * notes will no longer be printed by the BEP (not sure when), 2. Also coming, when folks purchase "packs of 100 notes" in any denomination those packs will no longer be in sequential order. For myself, this is going to take the fun out of collecting...
As for the sequential part, they will still be printed in order. They are not just “randomizing” the numbers. But if there is a problem, they won’t fill the hole. So they are in order but with gaps. I go through 10 straps a week. I hate getting brand new straps because you don’t even have to search them. The top number told you everything you needed to know.
I suspect there will be a few truly random straps out there - I know the BEP is doing its best to recover usable notes from otherwise unusable print runs.
Interesting. Definitely keeping my 2021 A district star notes, and other rare ones that I have. Might consider hanging onto more from common runs if they are in good shape from this point forward. While I see common stars now having a premium over non stars, I really don't see them being much more different than silver certificate or Legal Tender stars. Time will definitely tell though.
Since I've written my first message, I have been paying attention to what prices are doing in regard to purchasing star note packs of 100. I've not seen anything really change, but I have increased my purchasing packs of 100 EA. star notes. I just get the feeling that those packs of star notes are going to increase in price quickly? Ouch!
Hello. Good info. Thanks. Got me looking at my BEP packs, turns out I had a couple from pickup fm bank 3 or 4 weeks ago. Same district B run. Wonder if it's Bata test or truly the swan song of the star note.? Would send pics or video, but having trouble finding your email. Sure it's operator error on my part.😅😅. Have a great rest of your day everyone.
Not sure if my email got thru. Will resend it tomorrow in the A.M. if you would like to see the ones I have tonight, I put up a short earlier. Low quality, not very well shot. But you are welcome to use anything there you find useful. Thanks for all the great information and scamming busting you do on ebay hustlers. Really enjoy the channel and round table discussions.
Congrats to anyone who held on to their star notes. Future Jackpot!!! Edit: Stu I know you have a few Canadian notes so, fun fact, replacement Canadian notes from the 80's and up have the letter x as the third letter in the alpha numeric sequence. Before that replacement notes were marked with an asterisk. Always enjoy your content. These informative videos are like "Stu's money news" 😂
I received some 2021 uncirculated straps the other day from the bank (all sequential from 01-00) that still have the Star language on the strap. I can email you some pictures if you are interested.
So if a note is messed up in printing, they just reprint those same numbers again but without a star? Or don't reprint it, and the ser # number goes away?
Ending with 148. Normally, a strap would be xxxxxx01 on top and xxxxxx00 on the bottom. During the course of the print run, some notes were pulled. No stars were used to replace them so the top of the strap is now 148.

Dan will be happy! Finally something "new" about American Banknotes 😀

@@Stuplubakcurrency You’re Welcome Stuplubak! 💪😁
Thanks for the update. Looks like we are turning the page on star notes. I imagine the strap band that mentions stars will also be a collectors item.
Maybe!

Now, everyone will be saving star notes even with a large print run.
Many people do this anyway.

@@Stuplubakcurrency True.
Found a 1963 A $20 Bill at the bank today!

That’s very interesting! Thanks for letting us know
Crazy news!
thank you for the update 💵
Star notes will disappear fast now.
Thanks

I don’t doubt it. But they said this was coming and hear is the first proof I have seen.
I was just looking at an eBay seller yesterday that has full strap BEP 2021 $1 starnotes from NY district
One of the last ones.
does the mean it will increase the value of existing star notes ?
Eventually.
Hmm, so star notes going to go up in value.
I’m thinking like web notes.
So if a note is messed up in printing, they just reprint those same numbers again but without a star?
Or don't reprint it, and the ser # number goes away?
They just pull the note. No need to replace it.
@Stuplubakcurrency well, ok then! Cheaper in time and material in the long run, I guess.
Who would've thought the govt found a way to save money! Lol
FYI the senders email address is visible at one point in the video. Don't think you meant to dox this person so you should fix if you can!
I don't mind people seeing my email adress!
All these notes are from the same run?
Yup
Explain starting at 148😮. All I see are notes starting at 33?
Ending with 148. Normally, a strap would be xxxxxx01 on top and xxxxxx00 on the bottom. During the course of the print run, some notes were pulled. No stars were used to replace them so the top of the strap is now 148.

That means they all have the same number? Or did I not see this correctly? I can always watch again. 👍
@@murlbailer3755 I’m struggling here. It means they aren’t putting stars in the packs anymore.
