Christ is the ever-present and long-suffering friend to all of us. He is kind, merciful, and gracious in His providences. Jesus, what a friend for sinners! Jesus, the lover of my soul. Friends may fail me, but He, my Comfort, helps my soul. As our Friend and Saviour still, He is before the throne of God. His sympathies are unchanged; that He would forever be identified with our suffering and trivialities as our fellow brother. In complete manifestation, He abides by His promise to us, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20). At the close of the earth's chapters, He will come back as our King, to redeem all those who have kept the faith and awaited His second coming. Oh, how beautiful will it be to ascend high in the heavens with our longtime friend and companion! Yeye ni rabii mstaarabu tena mwandani wetu.
