    Excellent review I personally got the regular gravity headlights and love them. They put the beam perfectly on the road where you need it and make good use of the light.

      The Gravity series of lights are really nice, KC has made some improvements on these lights and took them to the next level. Thanks for watching!

    I have the KC/PM and love them. Have had a glitch on one harness were I had to move it to get it to work 2 times but has not failed and have had them over a year.

      The PM's are great lights, a little tip if you haven't do this already is to unplug the light, clean both the light and harness. Put a little Dielectric grease down in the lug and you're good to go! I have also been informing people that KC has fixed the fitment issues on the Gravity Pro lights and they are re-working the beam pattern, so the Gravity Pro's should be pretty improved in the near future if not already, I haven't heard from the KC rep yet. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe to keep up on all the new videos! Only if you want to that is, thanks again!

    Thank you for the review. Helped me decide to go with the regular Gravity. Also the warranty is none other. Bought a china knockoff pair and got what I paid for. Fog in lens, led failures, halo color drops. What a pain.....

    I currently have the regular KC with yellow logo to me best lights out there with the 23 year warranty KC always took care of me by sending the antiflikerin units several times but 4 years later after running them day and night one LED went out too bad because this light got discontinued and now the offer the two Gravity ones I will go with the regular gracity vs the pro simply because looks and i dont need dtrl thank you for the video it helped me decide no Pro. Thanks again. Oh the guys at KC deserve a 10 start rating specially Josh in Arizona taking care of KC loyals like my self.

      Awesome! I am running the original (KC/Peterson Manufacturing) lights as well! I really like them and the regular Gravity lights are a good choice as well, much better in the real world than the Pro in my opinion, and from my testing... I'm glad the video could help you decide, thanks for watching and subscribing!

    I have a 2017 rubi. They come with stock led's now and I wonder how much better the gravity is compared to the stock LED's.

      I'm not sure, I've yet to see a set of OE LED's in person. From what I've read the OE LED's are a lot better than the old Halogen style JK lights, but are less "intense" than some of the aftermarket stuff. I guess this is for vehicle safety guidelines and such. Thanks for watching!

    Installed the original 7" KC LED headlights & LED driving lights on my 2014 Sahara, in the fall of 2014. Never been so happy w/ a product! Will keep these over the two newer more expensive options. Light output ios better especially on low beam, no need to rin high beam! Don't waste the $ on the newer LED's from KC if uour looking to put light on the road / highway!

      Thanks for watching! I like the old lights as well, KC is working on some of the issues with the Gravity lights. I can't wait to see an updated light from KC.

    I still have the Peterson lights with kc gravity fogs in amber. I love the Peterson but it took some getting used to. Lots of reflector in the beam patter (if that makes sense). Not very even like some of the new cars have. Still great tho.

      I know exactly what you're talking about with the pattern. I didn't think the Gravity Or the Gravity PRO lights outperformed the Peterson lights though. The PRO lights did have a very clean cutoff, but they just didn't throw the light as far. I've been told by KC that they did some modifications/improvements to the Gravity lights, but I've yet to get my hands on a new pair to find out for myself. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for this latest comparison. In this more real-world, driver's-eye view of the three headlights, I'm less disappointed in the two Gravity models than I was after your earlier test. That said, it doesn't inspire my confidence in KC, a company whose *only* focus is lighting, that they can't after all these years produce a headlight that beats the one they've sourced from another manufacturer. I wonder if KC plans to discontinue the PM partnership now that they have two designs of their own. Hmm ...

    • @RockyXTV
      @RockyXTV 7 років тому +1

      You can still get the KC/PM lights on Amazon, but KC stopped selling them on their site, removed them completely! I'm waiting to see what my contact at KC says when he finds out that I chose the PM over their Gravity lights. The Gravities are good lights, but it's like you said, their only focus is lights and they couldn't beat their borrowed PM 701 Great White. Thanks for watching!!!

    Still waiting for a company to come out with a light for the FJ crusier. KC, JW speaker, etc I havent seen one to mount in FJs. When I get an FJ headlights are one of the first things to be upgraded and LED bulbs just havent impressed me on my truck

    I think (based on your video) that although the least bright, the Gravity has the most consistent beam pattern, without hotspots and blank spots, compared to the original and the Pro, however I think the Gravity is the most blue of the three, which I don't like. If the regular Gravity's light was less blue I would get those.

      They all had their pros and cons in the end. I'm still running the Original/Peterson KC headlights. Thanks for watching!

      can you still buy those originals anywhere that you know of?@@RockyXTV

    • @RockyXTV
      @RockyXTV 5 років тому

      I have not seen them anywhere. I think KC wanted them gone when they came out with their own lights and stopped re-branding the Peterson Manufacturing Great Whites. I think you can still get the Great White lights from PM though, they are exactly the same light, they just don't have a yellow KC logo on them.

    you say the pro's don't fit and wiggle around in the housing. Is there a way that you can do an install and drivimg test to prove it?

    • @RockyXTV
      @RockyXTV 7 років тому

      Unfortunately I can't find the video clip of it, it wasn't a TON of movement, but just enough to make it look like it was flickering to oncoming traffic. I'm sure you've seen a twinkly headlight on the highway before, that's exactly what it looked like. I sent that set as well as the regular Gravity's back, KC may be sending me another set to try soon, because the set that I got was an "early released" set. Thanks for watching!

    • @HeathenWolfman
      @HeathenWolfman 7 років тому +1

      Rocky X TV what was it that made it "not fit right"? Dide the ring not screw all the way back? was the bucket too thin or too fat for the housing? how was aiming them?

    • @RockyXTV
      @RockyXTV 7 років тому

      ***** Aiming was pretty easy, just a lot of back and forth. Drive, adjust, drive and adjust. The fitment issue was the three indexing tabs, they were too narrow so the light could rotate clockwise/counter clockwise, I hope that makes sense. Like turning dials, they had a little play in them, just enough to be an issue.

    The original KC LED'S have serious reliability issues. I have a 2014 rubi and burned up 2 sets of them (normal daily driving ) KC replaced them under warranty twice in 2 years, on the third set they upgraded me to the base gravity headlights and so far so good. They don't manufacture the originals anymore through KC......can't speak for Peterson though. I was told that they were just too much of a warranty hassle to keep selling them . They were definitely brighter than the gravities but couldn't trust them. If these burn up on me I'll be going to JW speakers, warranty work is great but functional headlights are even better.

    • @RockyXTV
      @RockyXTV 7 років тому +1

      KC has a great warranty, that's for sure. Peterson Manufacturing still makes the lights (Great White I think they are called) I really like the look of the standard Gravity lights. I have yet to have any issues with my original lights in over a year, I'll have to keep an eye on them, thanks for the heads up. JW's are great as well, but as with any product I've heard bad things about those as well, don't know if any of it is true because people also say that Auxbeam makes good headlights, and I know that's a lie. Some of their stuff isn't even DOT approved. Thanks for watching!

      Rocky X TV so as of right now you haven't had an issue with your kc (pm) led's? I just got a jku and after having a vehicle that had HID (factory) these stock jku's really need to go. Thanks for doing such a great job comparing the lights. 👌🏻

      Sean i agreed with you but JW speakers even the second ran has a ton of issues with humidity inside of them KC never had that issue this comes from the guys at 4WheelParts here in Vegas i wish the offer the original KC with the new Gravity system. Inused JW speakers for rear and front side markers no issues only one tail light came with a bad resister/antifliker.
