I have had Ocado a few times now then at my home near Dartford in Kent. They all seemed very helpful people too. All fellows-no ladies-not that I mind though anyway. And I gave the drivers their bags back as they say to do so too. The food from M and S they do seemed first rate too. All round very nice for sure of course!

Corporate guff. Friendly? You clock on and get to your van the second your name appears on the screen, woe betide you if you are late leaving. Lucky if you have the time to say more than hello to the person next to you before they too do the same. Return to the depot and all anyone wants to do is get home.
Today an ocado overtook me on a blind hill with cars in front coming opposite way almost crashing head on into it. Then the foolish driver drove across a roundabout forcing his way on causing other vehicles to brake and he had his arm out the window with his middle finger up at me. When called in they asked what colour was the van. How stupid dont they know their own vans. The reg of this van was KC19GWM and date Thursday 4th Jan 2023. He should be suspended waiting for a disciplinary hearing. He almost killed people. Wrong side of the rd at 60 mph
These van drivers are okay but OCADO Class 2 drivers have a nasty habit of slowly passing you on an outside lane and hanging there just in front of you and then signalling to move back in forcing you to slow down when you are climbing an upslope in a double decker. Once in, they accelerate away as they had the power, speed and weight to just pass you in the first place. More and more OCADO drivers are doing this on the M25 for no reason. What will they do if the overtaken lorry just keeps his foot down. They are obviously newbies to Class 2 or stupid or foreign but this practice has got to stop. Accelerating up to you then hanging there and signalling to come back in when you have the speed to just carry on is dangerous!
I doubt they'd accelerate away. All Ocado vans are limited at 62mph. The problem we have is people speeding up s we attempt to overtake and then we're stuck out in the fast lane.
Depends what the depot recruits you to do as there are 2 types of van driver: single route or "turnaround" Single route works a 5 day week 8 hour day with 20 minute lunch break, start times vary morning or afternoon. Turnaround works a 4 day week 10 hour shift with one van load to start, return to depot, have break, take second van load out again. 5 Shift patterns which change every week. 05:30 - 15:30, or 05:45 - 15:45, or 06:00 - 16:00, or 13:45 - 23:45, or 14;00 - 24:00. You will only get one weekend out of every 4 where you get both days off. Booking holiday can be nightmare.

I done this along side my normal job of chauffeuring during the pandemic
Miss it in a strange way but how they survive on 3-400 a week is beyond me 🙈

Class 2 ? I know they get paid peanuts but I never seen a class 2 from this company , just class 1 .
