No one should ever get an award for making a bomb!
What about a Saturn missile or night works not blowing nothing up but fun colors not all destruction
I was actually thinking of writing the exact same comment…and when I clicked on the comments, your comment was there! Great minds think alike! Such a pity that the so called ‘World Leaders’ didn’t read your comment, as it might have made them realise that they are on the wrong path !
The Nobel Prize was awarded to 18 of Oppenheimer's Los Alamos colleagues. Perhaps the award was not for "making a bomb," but for some of the physics involved?
Take, for example, Enrico Fermi, one of those 18, receiving earlier a Nobel Prize for his work on nuclear reactions, the foundational basis for the nuclear (atom) bomb.
And, by the way, the basis of all types of peaceful & indispensable uses, including cancer treatments.
And what was Oppenheimer's opinion on attempting to develop the hydrogen bomb?
If you do not know, perhaps you would find diving a bit into history of value.
@@tomsmith6045 I'd be like just send it in the mail or I rather have a case of beer bud light or coors light both good just something you'd have to dust off lol
In an ideal world. Germany was already working on it, so if the U.S. hadn't invented it first, it's possible Germany would have used it to defeat us. There's a lot of debate regarding whether the U.S. needed it to defeat Japan, but if we hadn't, tens of thousands on both sides were expected to perish otherwise. Anyway, its discovery was inevitable. 😢
