- Emma Watson, who stars as Noah's adopted daughter in the biblical epic, talks about her own faith as the film opens in the US.
"I already, before I did the movie, had a sense that I was someone that was more spiritual, than specifically religious.
"I had a sense that I believed in a higher power, but that I was more of a Universalist, I see that there are these unifying tenets between so many religions."
Even before it opens in America this week and Britain on April 4, Noah, a $130 million blockbuster with Russell Crowe in the lead role, has already faced controversy.
Christian groups have complained about its loose interpretation of a sacred script, leading Paramount studios to take the unusual step of issuing an "explanatory message" to accompany marketing material.
The film stars Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Douglas Booth and Logan Lerman. It will be released in the UK on March 28.
