This video is a great introduction to the dr who side of literature. The new series adventures for me is underrated however there's other types of books: Target novels, Past Doctors adventures, Eight doctor adventures, missing adventures and virgin new adventures. I recommend both whovians and casual readers to read any of them!
I think you should've specified that you're talking about New Series era novels, as opposed to the New Adventures, the 8th Doctor novels, the classic Target novelisations, the Missing Adventures, the Past Doctor adventures, and sundries.
Divided Loyalties is one i really recommend.I couldn't put that one down.It features a certain enemy found in The First Doctor stories terrorising Tegan.
I enjoy videos talking about these books, I've become a bit of a Doctor Who book collector myself... and by collector I mean I must have every original Doctor Who book (or DW spin off) ever so I can read it and add that knowledge to the ever-growing contradicting lore of Doctor Who. Also if you like the books, Big Finish's audio's are also gorgeous and the comics can be... well lets just say desperate times lead to reading fast paced nonsense.
I'm also a collector of Doctor Who books unfortunately I've been sucked into Faction Paradox lately. About 2 weeks ago, I didn't have any Faction Paradox books, now I have 7.
I only recently got into this Fandom again, and forgot they were also books and honestly? I hate to live in Germany now, because when I want some books in English, I have to pay like £20 shipping cost at first. :/
Great video. No pressure but if you are happy to say, what do you think of the Chibnall era and the 60th anniversary specials? I am curious what another DW fan thinks? Cheerio
Omg I love the Doctor Who books! I know this video is quite old but do you still watch Doctor Who? I really enjoy the 13th Doctor books that have been released over her era as they help develop the companions SO WELL
Noticed the girl in the video referred to the Doctor by actor and not as the Doctor when talking about the book plots. She has a nice personality though I wish I could have met someone like her thirty years ago.
