@@Celestialmimi Looks like it's using Tencent's version of ACE, every game that uses ACE doesn't end up working out for Linux, the only other game that uses ACE and works is Marvel Rivals and it uses NetEase's version of ACE, it came out a day after Infinity Nikki. It's possible Tencent and/or NetEase is allowing Linux users or they made ACE compatible with Linux but it's kinda a grey area right now, you could be banned or you could not be, I'd wait like a week or two before playing, check Linux/Steam Deck sources while waiting, but that's if you wanna be safe about it.

any tips for those of us on a linux desktop not a deck? i'm running in nobara (kde) and when i try following this it ends up hanging after download saying 'game update' no matter how many times i try to update
I have the same issue on Manjaro KDE. I tried with lutris using multiple wine and proton/ proton experimental. It download the first 999MB then It fail to download rest of the game. I get the same error even when adding it to Steam the same way as in the video. I wonder what could cause this.
@@leucome Same issue on both Arch, and Debian. Tried with lutris, and steam. Also Epic Games Launcher. All fail on game download/update. Installed other games using his method in the past. Dunno what the Deck is running that desktops aren't lol.
@@Skyverb I investigated a little. Looks likes the first 999mb is the game engine. After that, the launcher start the game to finish the download. It is that part that fail. The game executable crash.
2:40 change the path (under Custom Installation) to the one of ur sd card. Usually C/ is the steam deck, so it will either be D/ or E/ click on it & look if matches the contents of ur sd card, then that’s the one, & click where u wanna put it (on the root or in another sub/folder). Once ur path is chosen, click ‘run’ & follow the rest of the video, except the path location to copy&paste will not be the same as in the video, but on ur sd card. So look for the folder & installer.exe there, & do as the video shows.

The space won't show correctly unless you perform the Target path change as specified in the guide, we have to do it this way so that the space is recognised.

Yes we can install decky loader and then a plug in called steamgrid db, I will have a tutorial for this next week, please stay tuned. For updates we can load the game. Update, restart and go back in all fine.

It says it downloads the 999.19MB but the progress bar only shows its a quarter of the way downloaded, but then it says "game update" instead of "start game" and clicking it does nothing. it appears to try to start a download but then returns to "game update" doing nothing.

At least I learned that it is playable with proton. I am trying to get it running on my system with Lutris and different version of wine but the launcher fail to download the game. I will try adding it to Steam, maybe proton experimental has a patch to make this game run or something.
WuWa uses an anticheat that needs to be rooted deep inside the Windows kernel, something that Proton (the emulation layer Steam uses) can't/doesn't replicate to a degree that it can understand and translate the anticheat's requests. Kinda why I just play wuwa on a tablet tbh
Which could be bypassed if the devs could patch it, but they don’t have interest in doing so. That’s why Nikki & Hoyoverse games like Genshin Impact, HSR, HI3rd, ZZZ work on the Steam Deck & WuWa doesn’t, as the person above said. More ppl should ask on the survey feedback to let them know a lot of ppl want it, & maybe they would.

I was able to login but at the press A screen I get "Gateway connection disconnected." Is this due to poor connection on my end? I was able to play on my laptop through the same connection
@@gugaestrada It eventually started working, it occasionally still happens but if I keep trying it eventually let's me in. I'm not sure what the exact cause is though, I did disconnect my other devices from the web/put them on airplane mode but it could just be a coincidence and not a fix

I fixed this issue doing this : Open the Steam Deck Settings menu and select System. Select the toggle next to Developer Mode so that it turns green. 2. Scroll the left menu down so that you see the Developer menu option, and make sure the toggle next to Enable Wifi Power Management is turned off
once I get to the point at 5:07 the game just doesn't launch as many times as I have restarted and tried again it just automatically closes, does anyone know whats happening
The game can update fine and start again afterwards, I've done it multiple times now with 0 issues. If there is potentially a "major game changing" update then performing these steps again will likely resolve the issue.
For some reason in game cutscenes won’t load at all for me, there’s only a black screen and the text boxes. As well as voice lines, any way to fix this?

Updating the game is as simple as loading the game and updating. If we want to uninstall we can delete the numbered compatdata folder which I recommended to take a note of 🙂

When installing, we can change to Z: drive/run/media/and your folder on the SD Card. I need to test it properly but for this game I recommend internal drive for best performance.
@DeckWizard I bought an SD card for this game because my deck is only 64 Gb and didn't have enough space. I don't exactly understand how to put the game on it though :/ Do I just select D:/Steamapps as the install location? The SD card stuff says it's on D I think..
I tried to follow a worded instruction of this from reddit but I didn't understand a part of the tutorial so I skipped it and it worked for me by pressing start game. bro your doing way too much. you can literally just add the epic games launcher to your steam library and play all your epic games including this game super easily. Plus you don't have to worry about updating the game since they've been pushing out updates like every 10 hrs. using the epic launcher it will update the game automatically just like normal steam games
@@polypolar the PS5 is a great console, no doubt. BUT a lot of people enjoy handheld gaming and the steam deck offers a lot. I have a ps5 in my living room but when I’m laying down and want to play this, the deck comes in clutch. I can even play my ps5 games on it via remote play..and in bed. The process really isn’t a big deal. The amount of time the game takes to download takes longer lol. But if you aren’t savvy with tech, I understand wanting to go the simplistic route 😆

Yeah this is how I did Minecraft with prism launcher. Its so dope to have this capability on handheld.

Make sure the "Target" path you added to properties is between the quote marks "THIS WAY". If the path is not loke that, the launcher won't start.

Heya the cutscenes worked fine for me even after the new update but there are a few things we can try. Is SteamOS up to date? Are you using Proton Experimental?

what about if we want to install on a sd card because internal storage is not enough?
When installing, we can change to Z: drive/run/media/and your folder on the SD Card.
I need to test it properly but for this game I recommend internal drive for best performance.
@DeckWizard I bought an SD card for this game because my deck is only 64 Gb and didn't have enough space. I don't exactly understand how to put the game on it though :/ Do I just select D:/Steamapps as the install location? The SD card stuff says it's on D I think..

I tried to follow a worded instruction of this from reddit but I didn't understand a part of the tutorial so I skipped it and it worked for me by pressing start game. It worked then but now I can't get on it. It's saying gateway connection disconnected. So I'll try to do the part I couldn't do tomorrow using this tutorial.

I hit play after copying file paths and it pretends like it will start, then just instantly closes. :(

Have you tried the settings change in the option menu?

Are you looking for a folder called "apps" or "steamapps"?

bro your doing way too much. you can literally just add the epic games launcher to your steam library and play all your epic games including this game super easily. Plus you don't have to worry about updating the game since they've been pushing out updates like every 10 hrs. using the epic launcher it will update the game automatically just like normal steam games
Not everyone wants to use Epic games though 😅

@@polypolar the PS5 is a great console, no doubt. BUT a lot of people enjoy handheld gaming and the steam deck offers a lot. I have a ps5 in my living room but when I’m laying down and want to play this, the deck comes in clutch. I can even play my ps5 games on it via remote play..and in bed. The process really isn’t a big deal. The amount of time the game takes to download takes longer lol. But if you aren’t savvy with tech, I understand wanting to go the simplistic route 😆
