Don't hug me I'm Scared is quite a mystery on the internet. As far as I know, every episode revolves around the mecanisms of psychological manipulation. And our three fellows here are approached each episode by a different manipulative entity. All the designs seemingly kids-friendly are there to amplify the creepy feeling to a maximum. Now their channel seems dead tho

@@takthechroniker456 We don't know if it's a direct sequel to DHMIS 6. Episodes 1 to 6 seem to be a self-contained story, while the "Wakey wakey" video could be advertising something different. Same universe, same characters, but it seems to be a different location with a different plot, more than likely. It could be a whole new show that might not even be uploaded to the official channel.

Yeah, it's not dead, the storyline they had is just over. You have to remember, it was crowdfunded. They don't have the resources to just be making episodes past what they were funded for. They released "wakey wakey" which was an ad for their upcoming show centered around the characters and it SEEMS it was picked up by Conanco. I'm sure they were looking for a network to pick them up, and I guess it was picked up recently by someone? Idk. But yeah lol that's why. They did guests create an episode of "The Amazing World Of Gumball" after DHMIS. Just as creepy, but less... dark because it was for ACTUAL children.

Original creators basically made it so that it couldn't be understood. They didn't want to have a clear message because creating controversy is their goal.
What they exactly said in an interview was that they'd heard of all the theories about their show on the internet, and all of the theories are true.
And if we learned anything from the incredibles, then if all the theories are true, then none of them are.
