- In September 2016 we did it. We got to the top of KardungLa Pass, the highest motorable road on Earth in the Himalayas. Almost a month, 5000km around India in two Royal Enfield exploring Rajasthan desert, Tibet, Kashmir, Srinagar, Leh and much more

Dibya Ranjan Pradhan this is so true.. i have carb bullet 500, usually use this for touring purpose.. trust me on god not a single problem ever.. recently did a solo trip from kolkata to ladakh on this bike.. this bike is bullet proof reliable and did not gave me any trouble.. I believe mordern technologies like efi so complicated that they are meant to break down eventually.

Hey mate! I was planning on doing this trip myself but I don't have a ton of motorcycle experience. Just wondering, how long have you been riding. Could a relative "newbie" do this? Thanks a ton! Great video!
I had been riding for something like 6-7 years by the time I went there. I wouldn't encourage you to get between two massive reckless trucks if you don't feel very confident on the motorbike. Also sometimes you pass insanely close to a huge cliff and there is nothing to stop you form falling, so you must stay calm. All that said, we were sometimes rushing to get to our destination or just couldn't be bothered to queue in a traffic jam. Maybe your driving style is more relaxed and you don't mind taking things a bit slower and safer. Good luck!

We rented the bikes at Tony Bike Centre. Our bikes were in very good condition and the price was far better than in any touristic point. Good luck with your trip and ride safe!
