Reasons your hairline is thinning: 1. Waves should not be a permanent hairstyle... because you constantly have to brush and rub your hair to maintain them.. and in doing this your essentially pulling/rubbing your hair out. In essence there like braids... in the fact they put the same amount of strain on your hair. You should give you head a rest and wear a fro..for a couple months or just cut it down and get an even all over, and rarely brush. 2. Your hair needs to breath...wearing that du-rag/hats.. all the time, is suffocating it and causing it to fall out, also tying your du rag too tight can rub out your hair...a better option to avoid this would be to just wear a spandex wave cap or stretch cap 3. Grease like murrays, and duke,360 wave gel, etc... are loaded in chemicals and preservatives and thus are toxic to your hair and scalp.. if you cant eat or cook with the product then you shouldn't to a degree be putting it on your head. You should be using organic oils that you can get at the health food store or grocery store... like Apricot oil, Olive oil, Almond oil. With oils also you want to buy oils that will absorb into your scalp.. carrier oils 4. Many of you probably already know this but..... for those that dont, at one point i thought that oil/grease alone would moisturize my head... but i was wrong. You should keep a spray bottle of water... and either spray or wet your head with warm or room temperature bpa free spring water, to moisturize it. Then after you moisturize it... then you apply your oil to seal/lock in the moisture. You should do this every time you oil your head 5. Learn to cut your own hair, its easy.... and dont go in for line ups so often... your hairline needs rest, constant line ups, digging into and going over your line with a razor constantly will irritate it and cause it to recede. Be conservative on the line ups, a line up every week or every other week is too often... they should be reserved for special occasions. Also when you go to your barber.. dont let them USE alcohol on your hairline its too strong/astringent and will damage it... YOU should be using WITCH HAZEL instead. Also dont let your barbers.. spray that shitty cologne on your head, thats just more toxic chemicals there putting your line...which aids in baldness. If you learn to cut your own hair you can avoid all these issues. 6. DIET= is equally as important as all of the steps above.. IN ORDER TO AVOID BALDNESS.... dehydration causes dry scalp...so if you dont drink enough water, you going to have dry scalp which causes balding. Also if your diet is heavy in SUGAR...SUGAR directly contributes to baldness... so if your drinking soda/punch/kool aid etc, and eating lots of chocolates and sweets, and drowning everything you eat in syrup and bbq sauce. If all you eat is processed junk food loaded in sugar and carbohydrates that turn to sugar.... than baldness is guaranteed. You have to eat clean in order to stop or prevent balding... and you have to stay hydrated.... and by clean i mean green...green vegetables, green juices, green powders, also orange and purple fruits and vegetables also equally important. If you dont want to cut out sugar completely, then substitute.. them with beverages and foods that have Sugar Alcohols in them, like Erythritol, or stevia.. instead of regular sugar. You can also take a herb called gymnema to reduce your bodies absorption of sugar and to reduce sugar cravings Also biotin is another great hair vitamin.. however if your going to take biotin... you have to drink a lot of water or you will get very bad acne
I was going bald using Murrays too!!! when I was 18 now I’m 19 and use only soap water and Jamaican castor oil and my hair came back so fast, stop using murrays big bro it aint safe
Vortex HD Mine was very noticeable especially with a line up everyone in my school pointed it out!! Fonzz pls stop using them greases they just clog up ya follicles and dry ya head out just use naturals like coconut,Castor and shea oils they bring ya hair back and keeps your scalp moisturized and darkens your color
Murrays is not the cause of u going bald...it there was any evidence of a hair product unwillingly doing anything detrimental to people hair it would not have lasted since 1925...I been using murrays since I was 14 I have no balding or hairline issues. ..I hate when ppl try and give certain pomades a bad rap
I use Murray's for my hair almost daily, and I'm a white guy with wavy hair. I use it to slick and pomp my hair up. The can and the classic picture is the main part of the appeal for me and alot of the other greasers who use it.
I was big on duke and Murray’s from age 8 to 13 but I noticed that once the sun hit me it all came down my forehead and had me looking too shiny. Murray’s can o let hold down so much hair before you have to break out that 2 or 3 guard to lessen the load. If your going to Lee growing it you have to transition to curls. Most dudes concerned with waves don’t even know they have curly hair. Waves are curls in the making. I found out I had curly hair when I was 21. I washed my hair one day after the wavy hair was long and it just curled up so instead of adding the duke I added a lighter conditioner and as it dried my curls got tighter. All I know is people kept asking me what activator I was using and I was like I just washed my hair with warm water and it curled up on its own. Leave the Murray’s alone and use high quality conditioner letting them waves turn into curls.
Murray’s pulls your hair out and it’s a wax that’s full of petrolatum which clogs your hair follicles and eventually pulls your hair out as you brush, as a matter of fact stay away from any products that has Petrolatum in it. We got the same grain of hair so I suggest sticking to butters instead or what I use is the Jamaican Black Castor Oil
™Niggas be doing to much for some Waves‼️ 💪😂🤙My man used a pound of grease, Five DuRags, a sandwich bag, two brushes, a hat, and some antifreeze, I can't wait to see what 2019 holds for us.. Dope video btw 💯💯💯 😂😭😂😭😂
This is my first time watching one of your videos and I really liked it! You had me crackin up lol. I agree that you could switch up your content from time to time (if you so choose) and it would still be very funny and interesting. Good job!
There's no solution to fixing your pushed back corners. It's a natural process most men go through. Unless your hair is thinning in the front or crown area, you have nothing to worry about.
Love this product. I’ve used this since day one. Humidity in Florida is bad and this gives you a fighting chance especially if you sweat. I’ve tried the other stuff but it’s to lite.
It was awkward at first to use my opposite hand but as you continue waving you’ll find out that it’s better to swap hands for certain sides of your head for example : don’t use the right hand on the left side bc when you brush your hair theirs an angle you should have and a certain amount of pressure you have to keep consistent when brushing your hair that won’t come out right if you use one hand to brush your hair by bringing your right hand all the way to the left you don’t notice it but your making things harder for yourself so brush the left side with the left hand and the right side with the right hand and your angle and pressure will stay consistent
I used to use Murray's all the time when I used to be a waver. No other wave grease is f***ing with Murray's. After I got my cut, and after washing my hair, I'm slapping Murray's followed by a brush session. Put on the Dewey (du-rag) on. Moments later, I have waves followed by another brush session.
Medium/ straight hair waver here! Go natural products you'll thank me later than sooner. Coconut oil, Jamaican Oil Coconut oil and butter pomades I use.
He's in his twenties, which is a common age for men going through MPB. I have retrograde alopecia, so my side hair is leaving me, but I still have a full scalp of hair and back hair. Thank god for skin fades.
AsaTheEvilOne Well, it depends, is anyone bald from your mom or dad's side of the family? If so, you might have an idea of what your head could look like. I'm unlucky, because non of my current family members are bald or have the condition I have, so it may have skipped a generation and I was the unfortunate one.
AsaTheEvilOne If you're between 25-30 (the most common age men start to lose their hair) and you don't have small spots of hair missing in the front or back of your head, you'll be okay. Your corners receding is normal. What you should be worried about is thinning or missing hair in the front or back of your head.
Bo Gotti that's not true at all, hair loss is based on genetics (mainly), in other words, if going bald runs in the family, you most likely gonna go bald, "texture" doesn't matter
looool don't know how this is balding, anyone who wolfs without getting shape ups has had this look before. Unless you had a recent shape up your shit don't look that bad. Waves just give the effect that your hairline is worse than it actually is when you're not taming your wolf.
That's what I'm saying. I use to wolf for like 2 months and my hairline would start to look thin in the corner/hairline corner part and I thought my hairline was receding or something. Went to get a cut and my hairline looked so fucking good smh. In all honesty him stressing more on him going bald is going to make it worse but he just needs some oil, less pomade and he gucci. Besides that's his shit gucci, I know other ppl who WISH they had his hairline lol
Yep yep sometimes it can be awkward using my left hand...And i cut off some of my brushes just below the neck to get better pull and traction from using a brush one direction ..
I learned to use both hands while brushing and I found it to be extremely helpful to is the bag between each level of brushing and then end with the plastic bag. I have some unruly hairs by my tape line that don't care about the amount of Murray's I use.
*You had me rollin' Fonz♥You need to try ROLLER COASTER WAVES(on Amazon&Ebay). Its a cream based pomade...not as heavy as the Murray's...I use that too but I think they changed something because now it makes my scalp itch but I will get that medium brush and brush the hell outta my scalp&hair...just feels good to me. And yes it is awkward for me to brush with my left hand but to get the left side I got to.* *I look forward to your videos my brotha...keep them coming*
Yeah bro Tbh I don't use much product. Maybe one finger full. But the application and how much you use depends on the method. Whether fresh out the shower, hot rag/water method, or going in dry. I got curly course hair btw
I always just washed my hair with shampoo/ conditioner two washes of shampoo , last wash with conditioner depending on how badly you need to wash it but you can go with 1 shampoo wash and 1 conditioner wash , make sure you’re putting in the brush work and ragging up . But after the wash brush your hair til it’s damp and laid down then rag up take durag off when dry if anything I would do the wash and style at night so you can just go to bed after and your hair is dry when you wake up . I don’t use any grease I only use Jamaican black leave in conditioner to keep my hair moisturized and shinning I typically use leave in once or twice after my hair has been washed and every other day before I go to bed I brush my hair and apply Jamaican black castor oil in my hands and distribute with my hands and brush it in all around and I apply a dime size amount to put around my crown area so my crown grows thick and stays tight but overall I apply all around so I don’t have any thin or balding areas and my hair just stays full and healthy . I just got back in the wave game it’s been a month and I’m drowning already guess it’s because my prior experience lol , but I had my hair grown out in curls / braids had to take a break from waves to grow back some areas and now that I’m back in the game I’ll tell my durag secret to prevent hair loss subscribe to my channel to thank me , I do NOT wear a durag all day , if I’m not busy I brush my hair , leave a Durag on for no more than 30 minutes to an hour take off brush my hair again and repeat to get good progress fast , now progress aside I only wear a durag to bed at night , when I’m outside , at work etc I do not wear a durag , your breathe time (time without durag on ) must out weigh the amount of time you have on a durag , because not letting your hair breathe will cut off circulation to your head and scalp and affect hair in certain areas more than others based on how tight and long you wear your durag , if it’s tighter around the back or corners those areas are going to get thin or start balding . Durag only at night for bed or for progress , if your hair is healthy you can wear one to the gym but don’t make a habit outside of sleeping to wear a durag for consecutive hours
Waves set and they spinning just break some forks then your waves will be perfect. Ever consider he corners just thin out ? Usually baldness start in the center of the head or the crown. Or near the center on your hairline. Try some grease to help it grow back in.
Another dope informative vid. I use sporting waves an it does the trick. An yes I hate holding my mirror in the opposite hand. I have dropped it a few times.
Have you tried finishing with a soft brush and or avoiding your edges with brushes that can scrap your scalp? You could be pulling out hair faster than its normal shed time and with many brush sessions it will be slow to catch up.
Reasons your hairline is thinning:

We got the same grain of hair so I suggest sticking to butters instead or what I use is the Jamaican Black Castor Oil
See when I say it people think I'm being bougie or negative or it's "we can't afford it it so we use Murray or sporting waves"
I spend a few extra dollars and buy natural products
This is what started the wave process!
When it comes to brushing, over the years I've become ambidextrous, so it's no longer awkward for me.
Carlyle Wilson i’m sure it was something u had to force yourself to do.
yofonzz It was but over time it became easier to do.

btw yofonzz, that old school look of Murray's is part of the appeal, it's been working for ovr 90 yrs, no need to change now, imo
Lisa Washington it’s definitely a vintage look. that mans face looks like the tin man from The Wiz 😂😂😂
Classic Murray’s the best
Loosing your corners because your using that sht.
The Dragonball flip is dope!!!
kelsey giddings what is that dbz beat
looool don't know how this is balding, anyone who wolfs without getting shape ups has had this look before.
Besides that's his shit gucci, I know other ppl who WISH they had his hairline lol
lmao facts bro 💯
Yeah same
Dude is funny and the beatz go. Subscribed.
stop goin bald😂
JP i wish i had that choice lol
yofonzz use super grow on your hairline and brush it in everyday for a month and it’ll get thick
cyron davis link?
Highly entertaining and original.
Nappa: What’s his wave level Vageta
Vageta: ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😂This theme music has me thinking of SpongeBob
Like the blog, question? My job makes me sweat a lot, is there anything I can do to help maintain the my waves
Damn this made me want to get a brush session in. Dope af.
Yep yep sometimes it can be awkward using my left hand...And i cut off some of my brushes just below the neck to get better pull and traction from using a brush one direction ..
Great video and sooo funny lol
360Jeezy and SirCruse should be Murrays mascots💯
The way you poured that powder in had me dead 🤣😂
I learned to use both hands while brushing and I found it to be extremely helpful to is the bag between each level of brushing and then end with the plastic bag. I have some unruly hairs by my tape line that don't care about the amount of Murray's I use.
Yo Javale Mcgee I see that Murrays got your waves banging bro!!!! LMAO
Man your eyebrows are beautiful
*You had me rollin' Fonz♥You need to try ROLLER COASTER WAVES(on Amazon&Ebay). Its a cream based pomade...not as heavy as the Murray's...I use that too but I think they changed something because now it makes my scalp itch but I will get that medium brush and brush the hell outta my scalp&hair...just feels good to me. And yes it is awkward for me to brush with my left hand but to get the left side I got to.*
*I look forward to your videos my brotha...keep them coming*
Great..video, bro. Corners or not keep it coming. 💯
Yeah bro Tbh I don't use much product. Maybe one finger full. But the application and how much you use depends on the method. Whether fresh out the shower, hot rag/water method, or going in dry. I got curly course hair btw
This vid is funny af 😭😂😂
I'm 34 and I've been using Murray's since I was 15
Mann that intro sound like a banger 😎 😎
Have you tried finishing with a soft brush and or avoiding your edges with brushes that can scrap your scalp? You could be pulling out hair faster than its normal shed time and with many brush sessions it will be slow to catch up.
Bro this is a good video keep up the good work
I’m Nigerian and we got the same hair texture I find that craxy
6:26 i HAD to subscribe after that😂😂😂😂
Murray's pomade is bomb
Editing on point god damn 🔥
