YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES I LOVE YOU VALENTIN
Thank you for jamming with Rezonator! Love seeing how you used the midi mode~
I didn't realize the midi input was so good, I haven't messed with that part yet. That's so cool, I'm gonna have to try it now
Haven't watched the whole vid yet so maybe you figured this out, but the keyboard at the top of the Pitchmap GUI has two white lines you can drag to the left or right. This is essentially a bypass for all the darkened keys, but also has a mute feature to the right that will mute the tonal part of those notes instead of bypassing the effect. If you pull the right line to the left, it will leave the high end unaffected by Pitchmap, which is similar to parallel processing the high end. Also, since Pitchmap separates the tonal aspect of the input from the atonal, you can swap the positions of the white lines and click mute to mute all tonal aspects of a sound if that's what you want. I think the Pitchmap manual is much shorter than the morph manual, and it has a lot of information that can help you use Pitchmap in other ways outside of colorizing sound.
Omg thank you so much for this information! I tried it out right away and it’s so helpful 💜
as a color/colour bass newb, i approve this episode 🔥

The fact this exists is beautiful
I cannot believe studio time is back 😭 this shit is what made me start producing in 2014
Hey, Pitchmap tip: On the keys overview below the "Pitchmap" logo, on the left and right sides there's a white line. You can use that to "high-pass" or "low-pass" the ranges of keys. Learned so much from this video that I didn't know. Thanks for making it!
As a fellow knight of the colourly basses and also doing tutorials in this weird german accent, i approve this episode
Great video man! Kinda inspiring me to be a teenager again and open FL studio and start making some beats lol. Random note too on those morph algorithms! The LL stands for Low Lantency. Its basically if you want to use the plugin in a live setting and have musicians who need to hear without to many milliseconds of delay. As a pianist and live sound engineer these LL plugin variations come in handy. Not really applicable in producing I suppose because you can always just bounce audio to save CPU or Latency.
Oh you’re right I totally missed that! I guess Sometimes it helps to read the manual haha, the ones of Zynaptique plugins are usually kinda funny, too, like the “Bypass” Button is explained with “performs a highly complex and sophisticated function best described as bypassing the plug-in” lol
@@VirtualRiot 😂 it’s a mixing engineer motto, after scratching your head for hours of course, “read the manual” loool musicians and creatives we’re so used to learning DIY and by doing that we sometimes forget there’s a easier but less fun, tedious ways to figure it out
So sick! We need more of these! Experimenting but with the technical thought and workflow process described! Love it!

This is an incredible video, I've watched so many color Bass tutorials and this is encapsulates most of the knowledge you need. I wish someone would do this exact thing for Tearout Dubstep similar to Kai Wachi's style

Absolutely cannot believe you got to meet the boys from Shikari, truly the kindest guys. So good to see you back to the studio times, literally missed you so much
Hey Virtual RIot! Idk if you'll see this but I just want to thank you for producing such amazing music. your sound design is out of this world! I was always on the fence when it came to my career choice but after i discovered you around the time when you released your Save Yourself Ep, I fell in love with Dubstep again. so much so that I've designed to take a big leap and pursue a career in music. I'll be attending college this year and your Studio Time serie couldn't come at a better time!
As the unpaid intern at Color Bass HQ, I'll be sure to get that coffee right away, boss!
Thank you so much for these videos bro. I’ve been producing for 15 years but had fallen out of it due to pretty extreme life events over the last 3 years. Your videos and sound design inspired me to get back in the DAW and start making tracks again. Keep doing what you’re doing bro!
LETS GOOO studio time is back ! you love to see it
I study electric engineering and just learning about convolution and analogue/digital filters (in class). I cannot tell you how hyped and motivated these types of videos and color bass keep me. Sound design just keeps getting more crazy the more you learn about it.
best intro to any production tutorial ever
this is my new favorite series on youtube
Thank you for doing studio time again!

Thanks for this very neat video ! Hope for next episodes with some jaming :D🔥
As a guy who knows nothing about music production and has no idea what you doing i approve this episode love to see more in future
Glad you are back my man
I must say, as a "F2P sort of" music producer, it is very uplifting to see you teach how to get similar results with stock effects and even explain what most of the stuff do. this gives off a feeling of also being capable of making tunes as powerfull as those with a larger arsenal of VSTs and stuff with the only limitation between being that extra bit of work (in which you even explain what can fix possible problems and avoid them epic'ly) and creativity. (also the intro for this season is epic)
This vids are so useful, thanks Val!
Bruh,this is a gem!
Haven't watched this but I know I'm gonna love it and learn a lot of stuff
I love Pitchmap, so much fun!
