Nice video. I did a refurb on my Venture trailer last summer and all the parts were easy to order and arrived when expected. I waited for a late afternoon high tide on a crappy day to launch the boat and park it on the end of the launch dock and replaced the parts in the parking lot.
I have a 30 ft Pursuit that we keep in dry storage. However, this may change in the near future. We will eventually be shopping for a trailer, so your video is perfectly timed. Thanks and great job!
Cool video! I had no idea there is.a trailer company in town. Somehow surprisingly, a local trailer dealer (Dave's in Glen Burnie - great place, by the way) does not appear to stock as many of them as you would think they could, given the proximity to the manufacturing facility. When shopping for my new PWC trailer, the only one they had in stock was from LoadRite (made in Fairless Hills, PA) and this is what I got.
great segment Wayne. Appreciate the walk through. have to decide if i want to get a trailer for my Old Town Discovery Sport 15 or just get a used V bottom Jon Boat and trailer. kind of leaning toward the latter as price for a new trailer is @ 1700 and you can get a pretty good Jon boat, motor and trailer for about the same.. thanks for sharing.
Just be sure your aluminum boat trailer doesn’t have galvanized crossmembers. The trailer needs to be 100% aluminum with stainless steel hardware minus the axle and forward stanchion. The only thing galvanized would be the axle but the trailer company probably doesn’t make the axle.
Venture trailers are "price point" trailers. They use the cheapest of everything--from the tires to winches. Do yourself a favor-spend the extra money and buy a trailer that won't require rebuilding piece by piece in 3 years.
I think it also comes down to where we go boating, how often we use our trailer etc. I know several people who have older Venture trailers which have served them well for years. People who keep their boat in a marina only use their trailer 2 to 4 times a year and don't really benefit from what might be considered higher quality/higher cost components.
I think the popularity factor matters a lot because it could explain why one type is available at dealers and another is not, or if some manufacturers stop making galvanized based on sales.
Very true its important to have a well made boat trailer
Thanks for the great tour Wayne. My 2003 Sea Swirl Striper 1851 sits on a galvanized single axel trailer. It tows great!
Thanks for sharing that tour with us, Wayne. I enjoy process videos. Great to see an American firm making stuff.
My pleasure!
Great production Wayne, I'm happy to see the Made In America label on anything these days.
Thanks!
Great, informative video! Thanks Wayne
Cool video. I've seen some of their trailers in the Midwest. Makes me really want to replace my old rusty trailer with a nice shiny aluminum one!
I like my new trailer, but after the tour I was dreaming about an aluminum one!

They do make some nice looking trailers for bigger boats!

Yeah Dave's is an interesting place to visit!

Hard decisions for sure!
What is a "bunk" trailer and what is a "roller" trailer?
Bunk trailers typically have carpeted boards that the boat slides on and rollers have rubber wheels.
What is the height of the Venture boat triple axle trailer VATB-10625?
Reach out to someone at Venture, I think they can help you out!
Do you have a dealer in California
2:08 -- They're cat people, so you automatically know you can trust them 🐈 🐈 🐈
The cats looked happy too!

Popular? Who Cares. Should be are they worth the MONEY?

Venture is complete garbage
