this guy is too cool! amsa has genuinely made me a melee fan as someone who has been watching ult for a couple years now, favorite player to watch for sure
Even before this Amsa was definitely top 10. After Big House Amsa's for sure top 6 with a very good case for top 5. If he wins some more majors he could easily be #1 by the end of the year, assuming no one player becomes super dominant.
Nah not like it wasn't the most stacked tourney of all time stats wise. And with a bad seed. It has been a very good year for mango at least in the second half
I'm sure Mang0 Is upset with himself/disappointed. Reality is: he still did really fucking well for his seeding. He only lost to one player after going through a damned gauntlet.
Yeah it's funny how grand finals was the 8th seed vs the 7th seed. Speaking of which, is Amsa the lowest seeded player to ever win a Supermajor? I feel like Genesis 5 with Plup winning might be the closest but I'm not sure. Or maybe some player made some magic happen during the MLG era. Edit: Yes, Amsa is pretty noticeably the lowest seeded player to win a Supermajor. Prior to this Wizzy at SNS5 was the lowest seeded player to win a Supermajor as the 6th seed. Also Plup was seeded 5th at Genesis 5 for those wondering.
@@drakejoshofficialyoutubech5569 I don't think Armada, Mang0, Hbox, Leffen, PPMD, Zain, Plup, Wizzy, Ken, Azen, or PC Chris we're ever at #8 when they won theirs. So I would imagine so.
Every game has a midtier player with a high rank, but it would be crazy if amsa got to that first rank. In a top 10 filled with fox, falco, puff, marth, Shiek and falcon as it’s really always been for so long, to see a lone yoshi at the top would be unbelievable
@@turntech4776 True, Puff is seen as good but Hbox and Mang0 are the only ones that have been dominant with the character. I think that he'll have to win at least 2, then maybe he'll beat mang0 in terms of major wins. I think aMSa may be the world's most skilled player, all things considered, but his performance is dragged down by Yoshi's shortcomings.
@@SRM13 ah, now you've got my hopes up. I didn't think about the fact that this is worth more than mang0s wins bc mang0 didnt win a supermajor.
