We were in RAF Seletar from 1967 to 1969 and Eunice was my sister Loraine's best friend. My dad was Chief Tech Danny Ward and we spent a lot of time at the pool
Hi there. My father was at RAF Seletar around the same time as you were. His name was Robert Pearson, known as Bob. We lived in Serangoon Gardens Estate. I have only just found this website and it has brought back some lovely memories of when we were in Singapore.
Margaret Pearson We lived in Serangoon Gardens from early 1967 to November 1968, I was in the Royal Navy. Happy times, went back for a holiday 8 years ago and our bungalow was still there. The Singaporeans are lovely people.
I cried the day we left Singapore, I was 11 years old then, I loved the place and the people, my brother was born there, he was, at the time, the largest baby born there, weighing 14lb-13oz. I always wanted to go back, I know it has changed, people call it progress, I wouldn't call it that, perhaps some day soon before it's too late.
Just add 'S' between 'R' and 'A' and you get 'RSAF' today! Just wonder whether is it 'Royal Singapore Air Force'. History can be quite perplexing of a heterogenous' populace.
