I've never visited Khaosan road in all my trips to Bangkok. The 'music' would do my head in unfortunately.
The best thing about it is that is keeps the riff raff away from Nana.
That Police Station was totally demolished and a brand spanking new building was created on the site.
It was difficult to see what and where they were doing as casual observation was 'discouraged'.
Still - not a place I would like to "pop into for a chat" whatever the circumstance...

I was a young backpacker staying on Kaosan rd back in Jan 1991. Back then just known as a cheap place for backpackers to stay. Very laid back,Not really the place to party, Patpong was the happening place to go back then to party

the first time I was there in 1986 you could still rent rooms for 100 baht and the shops were for Thais. 1A Heroin included from the golden triangle
Has there ever been a bigger desecration of a once cherished backpacker ghetto into a Thai middle class hangout in history? Sheesh the kids traveling these days will never know how awesome KRS once was. Nice video as always.
