Truth be known (and for what it's worth) I always look for one thing in your daytime AM/MW bandscans..KCJJ 1630. If it'll pull that in from the suburbs of Chi-town, it'll get anything. CKLW 800 is another benchmark.
Hey Todderbert! Ever since I watch one of your tutorials for my Uniden Bearcat BC75XLT (it was very helpful), I have been hooked on your channel. Keep up the great work!
Hi Todd! I love your band-scan videos, and your PL-450 is a great little coat-pocket set. I like that it sports a bandwidth filter selector! Decades ago, most AM radios featured fairly wide bandwidth filters resulting in much better audio fidelity. I have observed that most modern radios without multiple selectable bandwidth filters simply sound muddy and muffled because their bandwidth filters are too narrow. I typically listen with the bandwidth filter set in either 4 or 6 kHz. The SANGEAN PR-D4W has six filters! They are 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, and 6 KHz. The PR-D4W is a mid-size set with exceptional performance at its price point and recommended by me.

I enjoy my PR-D4W as well: ua-cam.com/video/kNBGlaaPqHY/v-deo.html
If they still made/ stocked these, I would have gotten one.
I opted for the Kaito KA-1103 instead.
📻🙂
Reception awesome
I like this Tecsun PL 450. Picks up a lot of stations. SW is good on this portable.
I wish things were better bro! Take care! I’ve learned a lot from you! 👍
I get WILL Urbana, IL at about that same strength here, with some bleedover from my local KFNS Wood River, IL 590
1160khz would be for me, Praise Jesus.
