There's a huge difference between this and Tempo of Time. After listening to the first five minutes of this and jumping around the track, I'm not impressed. There's a noticeable lack of artful transition between pieces, and of orchestrational embellishment or tonal meta-structure to tie it all together into a cohesive musical journey. It's just a bunch of abbreviated cookie cutter metal band interpretations of each song crudely butted up against each other and organized according to element or theme. I suppose the most remarkable thing about this collection is its thoroughness in terms of quantity. I just don't value that all that much.
I've seen so many Mario and Kirby every song is here style medleys, but until now I've never seen a Zelda one. The fact that it's heavy metal as well just blows me away. I'm EXTRAORDINARILY glad I left my usual recommended list for this. 100% worth it. Reminds me of the good ol' days of the minibosses.
My good friend Octoman F-Zero has shown me your masterpiece of a Zelda tribute. I heard some good Zelda song covers before but nothing in this scale, heavyness and love for detail. You even managed to put in the most unusual Zelda background tracks into this and make it sound like absolute Metal artworks (Methusa's theme in OoT f. e.). It's just a bunch of abbreviated cookie cutter metal band interpretations of each song crudely butted up against each other and organized according to element or theme. I suppose the most remarkable thing about this collection is its thoroughness in terms of quantity. I just don't value that all that much.

I've seen so many Mario and Kirby every song is here style medleys, but until now I've never seen a Zelda one. The fact that it's heavy metal as well just blows me away. I'm EXTRAORDINARILY glad I left my usual recommended list for this. 100% worth it. Reminds me of the good ol' days of the minibosses.
