I can’t elaborate enough on how this album was an escape for me. I actually have the first pressing of this either the dandelion cover. I could just melt into the musical landscape carved out here. No secret just either this is your cup of tea or it isn’t. But for those of us whom this hits a chord with… we know how good this is for the atmosphere it conjures up. Anyway thinks for posting.

Amazing But a Underrated Classic from that era The Era of Throbbing Gristle Hot on heels of love United SPK For Metal Dance And Coil Tracks like Tainted love Amongst others This is an Album That got lost in Translation
Still a F***ing killer album! Got this when it came out and it was killer then. For Gordon's fans, he's on This Mortal Coil ~ It'll End in Tears if you need another fix.
I am hearing this for the first time, excellent, just has passed me by at the time, strange... I thought the voice was familiar, This Mortal Coil of course!
anyone know where I can find this CD? or Download. 27 years ago I let this vinyl + my whole collection of industrial and goth of that era go to friends son...what was I thinking... this is a gem of an album and one of a kind
I would love to see this Album live in full I saw them play couple of years ago And they were brilliant as they were playing Glasgow Tetonics Festival Amazing
Listening for the first time in 40 or so years.... first got into via This Mortal Coil, where Gordon Sharp camoeoes on 16 seconds among others. Still a tough party listen 🙂 But what a wild ride TMC got me into
Wow. This is very strange and uncomfortable listening. I also notice it’s very hard to tear my eyes from the cover. I’m not sure I’d classify what I’m hearing as Goth but, if so, it’s ahead of its time and definitely not the work of posers. Two great uploads in as many days. This is one channel which has gotten my undivided attention. If it’s uploaded here, I’m listening. As unnerving in its own way as Gnaw Their Tongues.
@@jonnie13black Hey Jonnie ! Very very very long time no see though your playlists are all dutifully collected to add ballast to mine. When YT split all my musical interests went over to You Tube Music which - to give all due credit - is an excellent music site with loads of rare goodies. There's nowhere for us diehards to discuss it though. Now I discover there's some overlap. For instance if you type in 'teddy dog, Machinefabriek' the Kraken which is my Machinefabriek (and many special friends !) will actually pop up here ! Though some things blocked on here aren't blocked there and vice versa. It's enough to drive you mental. I just say this to brag but I went into my YT Studio just to poke around and see what I could find and I actually lost count of playlists which hit the 5,000 item maximum or 4,995 maybe. I do have a nice Asmus Tietchens one building up here consisting entirely of stuff only available on this YT channel. I just think everyone should know there's a confused maniac in their midst building building building. I love Cindytalk ! I'm not sure how but I mixed them up with BeeQueen who are a lot more abstract but no matter. They're great on their own terms. They don't really sound alike but they heat up precisely the same moon juices that Lycia do. And your playlists all go into my Haare playlist. Shame since all music by those magnificent Finnish noisemakers have been blocked apart from 'The Temple/Satori'. Could any other Haare fan that reads this (an admittedly tiny demographic) could they upload a whole lot of it ? I know I like it and suspect Jonnie and Mark will too. Haven't seen that well-respected man in ages. :-(

I think her name is Cindy or Cinder now and uses she/her pronouns, or that's what her wiki says, but agree this is a total gem!

I have loved Cindytalk from very early on , right up to the later electronic ambient stuff ! All very good indeed !
I've still got the original , with the original inner sheet !

Back when . My friends would to Bauhaus' version of RoseGFOS yet recoiled to poor sweet Gordon.
a side project from freddy mercury, Queen?
so glad someone made this comparison. they both have similar timbre, and both utilize their instrument differently, uniquely, beautifully.
....an extraordinary artist!...
