The only reason i would like to get cdl B is because most of the jobs you get you can get to be home every day
That's a great point! Having a CDL B can definitely provide more opportunities for local jobs and being home every day.
That’s a lie you work a lot local it’s not what you think it is .. if you’re not willing to work all the time and weekends CDL is not for you . You might be home at the end of the day but it’s to sleep
@@DF-es6tx true but not true there's jobs out there that are 8 hours and go home class b.
I’m doing class b for bus operator… with overtime it’s 1500-2000 a week. Plan to save and get out. Way less headache then class A and truck school
this is true
Im chosing class b because i have alot of kids need to be home every night...
Thank you for watching our videos!
I'm 20 days away from getting my class B and the reason why I chose that is cause I truly am intimidated of the big trucks at the moment so I feel like I should crawl b4 I walk and that's me just being honest with myself my actual question is what type of pay should I expect starting with no experience and I'm from new Jersey just thought I'd put that out there so I can get a honest opinion also I do plan on going for my class A at some point and I don't mind investing in myself so if anyone out there can guide me in the right direction it will truly be appreciated because this will be a new journey in my life
About to start class B class. Biggest suggestions or tips?
How much is the class b classes i know class A around 5k?
I feel the same way
Same
Same
Do what makes you happy and don’t listen to what others say.
True! That's the ultimate answer. Thanks for your comment!
class b is way cheaper to go for in CA. not just by a couple hundred but by a couple thousand. Also if you plan on only doing class B jobs then the driving test is way easier. dont do class A classes if you dont wanna drive a combination trucks. I dont wanna do big rigs because of safety and the higher dangers of them. CA only requires 15 hours of behind the wheel training which can be done by someone who has a class B. You can even rent a class B truck with that someone to do your 15 hours and the test. But I would Recommend just getting a part time class B job to get your Cdl class B. You are now required to take the Edlt class which is easy to do online for les then $100. Take that class and take your written for your permit and then find that somonoe to get your 15 hors of behind the wheel and there you go.
well....... good luck on your test!
cdl b with h,n,x still has good opportunities.
Hey I'm a class A holder in Virginia. I thought it was odd that you said class A drivers cannot drive buses. I thought class A covered class A and B. My brother works for the city and works on school buses so he just got his class B. I'm surprised you said that a class A you cannot drive a bus with. Perhaps it's just a class A with a passenger endorsement? I'm not very sure I actually do power line work and got my class A CDL so I can drive the big pole truck and pull wooden poles on the trailer behind the truck lol I'm not a truck driver. Or maybe things are different in other states.. I just thought that was very interesting. And wanted to give you some feedback in the comments.
my exact goal....right now im a flagger for a utility company...been studying hard....I can't wait
I have a class A with a Passenger (P) endorsement. If u have A or B In Virginia you need a P endorsement to be able to drive a bus with people on it. If you don’t have that special P endorsement you can’t drive a bus.
@@scrawlin18so I got my class A and took my passenger endorsement test and passed now do I need to take another class my license has the P endorsement on it but the dmv was talking about a ELD class and then take the test again
I was adamant about getting my class B... which I did...about 3 weeks ago, 9/29/23.... I had my mind set on doing sanitation... driving.(garbage trucks) however... I'm contemplating going back to get my A.... (soooo much more opportunities/ options) unfortunately I don't have the money to go back...so I was thinking to go to one of those companies that will sponsor the class for me...and in return I work for them for about 1 year or so....
That being said... to upgrade and get the class A. Do I need to get a class A permit? In order for the process to start?
Idk about your state but here in VA you can go to the dmv get the truck driving handbook study it then go back and take the test to get your permit
Hello you all we back it again with the support, Stray Administration's channel works for me on CDL not critical about things but know i had my way differently, the redt are tutorials but that is action in tutorial, Stray Administration
I’m super confused and getting different answers from every one . Can i get a class B with out having to go into a physical school for weeks?
You think people should be driving giant trucks on the road with families by doing only a online class? Think about that for a second and you'll have a answer to your question....
@@1PerfectAgonyfax
@@1PerfectAgonyyes. You used to be able to take the written classes then do actual on the job training for hours... But since things have been federalized you have to have classroom hours, and only a couple hours of actually driving... which one do you think is safer: online, or 4 weeks of classroom with minimal driving hours before you're hauling a trailer with families on the road?
Damn I can’t drive buses 😢
Get your passenger endorsement and you can drive a bus. CDL A or B with a Passenger endorsement.
It's been my long time dream to get a cdl class b license since I was a kid

I am out near San Francisco and there's a lot of Class B jobs.
I have a class A and am wondering if I can still apply. Rather if I would qualify for consideration.
I believe class A also allows you to drive class B trucks as well. Just not the other way around.
