- This was an update we weren't prepared for. We officially got a stage 4 diagnosis and what we thought would be radiation next has now turned into surgery, but not in the way were hoping. It's a lot to swallow and try to adjust to, so we took a break to try to wrap our heads around it and try to enjoy the holiday as much as possible. Here is the newest update in our cancer journey for my nasal squamous cell carcinoma.

My cousin lost her eye, muscle, etc. from caner when she was five. She wears glasses (no frosted glasses) and looks lovely. She married and has two kids and a successful career in the public. Prayers for healing and for your whole family. Jesus loves you
A lady in my church had the exact same cancer when she was 17!! She lost the same eye! She just passed at age 65 last week but lived for 48 years after 🙏
She also had a baby at age 25,

My sister had cancer when she was 16/17 years old and had surgery and her spleen removed. She was told she would have no children, she had 4. She's still going strong at 71. Prayers you have a full recovery.
What a miracle! 🙏🙏🙏 I have breast cancer started chemo a few weeks ago, I'm 41 years old. I pray to God everyday I can have kids and still make it till I'm really old. I hope God will listen! 🙏🙏🙏
I remember my stage 4 diagnosis. Such a fog of pure terror. I was so afraid of losing my body parts before that day, and at that moment I would gladly sacrifice whatever part so I could live. I know where you head is right now. Boy do I. Unsolicited advice isn’t something I want to push on you. But I hear you and my heart holds you in prayer. Know you are surrounded by love.

Hi Melanie, I’m not one to leave comments but your video touched my heart. I’m 71 yrs old female from Iowa. And a retired nurse. I want you to know I’ve put you on my daily prayer list. I don’t know if you believe in Jesus but I do, I know he can do miracles and great and mighty things. That is my prayer for you❤. I’ll also keep you husband and baby in my prayers for strength and comfort. I’ll also pray for your surgery staff that God will guide there hands and remove all of the cancer. We had a small child years ago that was hit by an unlicensed drunk driver. She is a beautiful woman now with one glass eye.

Thank you, thankfully reconstruction will be part of the initial surgery so I am grateful for that. Unfortunately no option for a glass eye though as there won't be any muscle structure to hold it in place.
Years ago, my father-in-law suddenly lost his eyesight in his right eye. In fact, he woke up one morning realizing he was blind in that eye. Even though laser treatments were immediately used
in the hope of restoring his vision, it was unsuccessful. It was not a great situation, but believe it or not, he was able to continue to drive. We care about you and will continue to pray for you.

My grandmother had her eye removed because of cancer and was always extremely independent and was still beautiful I have no doubt your beauty and independence will endure your in my prayers I just found your video but glad I did to share my grandmothers experience with you ❤
I can only imagine how many emotions you are going through your brain right now. I don't even know if I have any words to really be helpful. I'm here to support you in whatever you need. I'm here to listen . You don't have to be brave, you don't have to be strong, it's OK to cry and bawl your eyes out if you need to. This is a lot, but the one goal is to make sure that your cancer free so you can be there for your beautiful daughter, your husband, and the rest of your family 🥰🥰🥰

I help people that have cancer, ALS, and so much more. I think it's important to have a sounding board even if you don't know the person to be able to just be honest and real.

Melanie. This is difficult watching because I want to hug you so bad. I have breast cancer and had both breasts removed on Dec 18. I’m really in pain now and saw what I looked like Friday morning. Guess I was having a pity party for myself. You’re right. Nobody deserves cancer. What keeps me going is the love and support I feel. I hope you feel it too and I hope you have a faith in God. He has you. You’re right, you will have your life. You will still be beautiful with a patch. I will have my life even tho I don’t have boobs. Trying to have a sense of humor helps even if it’s sometimes hard. Last week when I was at the hospital I stopped in the gift shop and they had t shirts that said yes these are fake, the real ones tried to kill me. I wanted it but they didn’t have my size. It did make me laugh and when I get the prosthetics. I’m going to get a cute shirt. Hugging you from Arizona. And remembering you in my prayers. 🩷
I haven’t seen your removal but I can assure you that you are beautiful.
My daughter has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of ductal breast cancer and we are all devastated! She’s going to have a double mastectomy.

Today is Wednesday February 7, 2024, I just came across a video of you in a car coming home from eye removal surgery, You seem so emotional but it’s still very clear how strong and brave you are, I hope you document as much of this journey as you can, the strength and vulnerability you are documenting is really a very special thing, I am not religious, I don’t pray, but you will be in my thoughts, and I absolutely will support you on this platform and in any other way needed.

Oh sweet Melanie ♥️. Your surgery will be an exenteration, my father had one 20 years ago. After all treatment is concluded they absolutely will be able to make you prosthetics that will be beautiful and amazing. The technology is so advanced now. I'm sorry that you may lose your 👁. I hope & pray you get better. Cancer runs in my family. I had uterine Cancer & then I had breast Cancer started in my right breast. I was Cancer free for 8 years then I had a recurrance. I have seen people with removed parts on their face. I was crying when I got the breast Cancer. I'm scared of going blind I have been having floaters in my right eye. I am proud of you for being strong.

I have a friend who had the same cancer. She had the surgery including part of the brow bone. She also rocks a nice patch! She has been cancer free for over 6 years now…..It’s possible! Prayers for your recovery

Dear Melanie,, I have messaged you a few time and you so kindly commented back, I lost my husband just under three years and you were so kind to me, when I said I was praying for you and your gorgeous family.
When I watched this with shock and a really choked up feeling of absolute devastation, my brain sometimes doesn’t get the cruelty of this disease. I will continue to wish a huge miracle, and even though I lost my husband is till believe people get a different outcome and especially when operations and treatments are available, sadly my husband was inoperable.
There are mo words to sit here and watch you cry and so full of obvious and natural anxiety. You are a gorgeous and brave brave and stoic woman and you have such a beautiful sense of humour.
I think you could rock any look, that allows you to be with your baby and husband and still here talking to your supporters on here.

When I was first diagnosed stage 4 it was hard to digest but now I rearlise people can live with stage 4 cancer for many years !!
I think looking after your immune system, eting well, getting enough sleep, dojnh thjngs you enjoy and trying to stay positive are totally underrated.

Oh my God my friend I am really sorry for what you are going through. I wish I was closer to give you big hug.
Your video came across my feed and my mom went through an almost identical surgery for her cancer in the 1990s. She is 80 now and it was curative (she had radiation as well post surgically). It was hard but she is here. At the time she was one of the first to have such extensive surgery- it cured her of cancer and saved her life.

Hello Melanie, I am a 74yr old mother and grandmother over here in the UK. I am new to your channel so dont know the whole story, I will watch earlier videos to catch up. But I had to let you know I will be thinking of you. This situation will be difficult, but what can we do in these situations. You are young and have the greatest reason to fight this awful cancer, your lovely baby. There will be hard days but you will not let it beat you. Do what you have to do for youself and your family and try to get some enjoyment where you can. I wish you all that you wish for yourself.

You are a true warrior!! Take as many pictures before surgery as a family and with your baby! You will love to have those to look back on!! Praying for the surgeons to get every ounce of cancer! I have one more round of chemo to treat Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It hasn’t been easy but I can’t even imagine what you are going through especially having a newborn! My kids are 6,4 and 2. I have gone through cancer myself so I can imagine how hard it is for you. The most important thing is to stay alive. Your daughter needs her mother. You are strong, you will survive this. Modern medicine and plactic surgery can make miracles.
Go look up Dr. Thomas Seyfried on UA-cam. Everyone should be armed with information in case they get cancer or they know someone with cancer.
A Ketogenic diet, anti parasite drugs and a drug called DON.
Starve out the cancer with a metabolic ketogenic diet and safe drugs and keep your organs healthy.
Cancer cells can only use two fuels and they are sugar and glutamine. These drugs and the ketogenic diet address both fuels and at the same time don't do damage to the body.

As a cancer patient, sometimes other’s cancer stories on UA-cam catch my eye. I am so so sorry. Yes, what you are facing is absolutely terrifying. When I was waiting for surgery, I benefited from a couple acupuncture sessions for anxiety. I was amazed by the medical professionals that cared for me and how our bodies heal and compensate for changes. I’ll send you some prayers.

Guy TENENBAUM's case about cancer and his protocol :
- a low-carb diet outside the fasting period (total elimination of carbohydrates/sugars) and eating OMAD (One Meal A Day) crucifers, garlic, onions, avocados, walnuts/almonds, olive oil and oily fish to avoid losing too much weight (avoid meat and cheese)
- taking specific food supplements that Guy TENENBAUM has called TCC (The Cancer Cure) which correspond to his 5 essentials, with the dosage he took:
* High-dose melatonin 30 mgr before going to bed (Phycocyanine or Lithotamne, but the most powerful would be melatonin): inhibition of SCOT (to use pure phycocyanine and lithotamne to increase the volume of SCOT inhibitors in addition to melatonin)
* Allicin (either as a 2400 mg quality concentrated pill, or with crushed raw garlic): up/down stream of SCOT
* Matcha green tea (with turmeric and ginger): up/down stream of SCOT
* Metabolic treatment (metabloc): Alpha Lipoic Acid (or Sodium R Lipoate, 600mg 3 times a day, 1800mg in total) + Garcinia Cambodgia (Hydroxycitric Acid, 600mg 3 times a day, 1800mg in total) + CoQ10 (the transporter, 100mg morning noon evening)

Heard about you from Kneady Homesteader. Your courage and faith is amazing. Oh Melanie I just came across your channel tonight! My husband and I have been fighting his esophageal cancer for now 14 months so I can relate to many of the feelings you are having. It IS scary...but as you said at the end of this video...maybe this is what its going to take to be able for you to be here and watch your baby grow up. We are big into faith and prayers here and we will definately be praying for you and your family.

I don’t know what it is like to lose an eye or anything people can see, let alone have cancer. Last year I lost my eldest brother to cancer. I hope you live a long while and while you are alive you live well. Please don’t care what people think about what you look like! Your family still loves you and that’s all that matters. I do know what it is like to lose a daughter when she is 31. Please take help from family and friends. I have lost lots of family to to cancer, drugs, alcohol, diabetes, Alzheimer’s… all ages. I want you to know that myself and many, many others will be praying for your full recovery. I don't want to imagine what you are going through emotionally but you are right, nothing is worth losing your life. I believe you are making the right decision.
The surgery is important because you need to be around for your hubby and your gorgeous baby girl!
I wish it was better... can i suggest into looking into facial prosthetics so you can maintain some sense of normality after such an intense and life changing surgery? Facial prosthetics are amazing these days and can really just give you some control back over everything 💜😘

@@cathyl....... mine are from 70s and 80s also those have given me comfort recently. I’m dreading new year and the funeral etc as I don’t get on with family at all, but hoping to say goodbye in my own way soon. You never expect it do you. Always thought she would be here forever.

Melanie, I am without words. One thing I do know is that you’re strong and can beat this. I was hoping it would be better news but you’re right. Watching baby girl grow up is the goal. I know this is a terrible surgery you are going to have to go through. I can’t imagine dealing with the shock of losing such a critical part of you face and vision. I am so, so grateful that you have a path to surviving this. It’s going to be very hard but you have that baby to keep you going. Hopefully next Christmas you will be on the other side of this and be in the process of putting your life back together. God bless you and keep you.

Oh sweetheart miracles do happen … I’ve just had 7 hour surgery that was cranial facial surgery. My hubby has leukaemia and GBS completely paralysed and he survived. One moment at a time. You will get through this. My sense of humour kept me sane. Don’t change. But please stay hopeful and save your energy for rehab. You are stronger than you know. I’ve had bone scraped back to the bone in my face but it passes. Accept help and just get through this. Blessings on your journey xoxo
