I love ELO, & I always appriciated Duran Duran....but I never saw this one coming. I'm both surprised & and impressed! The boys in Duran really pulled it off. I love it!
Simon's voice is ageless, which takes daily work and discipline. Well done, LeBon. Many singers start to lose strength, clarity and range by middle age and it's avoidable. This is also a terrific cover of a song pretty much everyone knows and loves. This is equally at home in the 70s, 80s and today. Mad lads we love to the end.
For all the detractors out there, this great cover will lead a whole new group of listeners and fans to ELO. Nothing beats the original, but I love this version. Definitely a dance floor banger!
@@telephonepole8366 I'm the opposite, much prefer the original. Wish Duran Duran had gone crazy with it, sounds too similar, but the original has much more energy.
This is one of my favorite ELO songs. I am blown away by Duran Duran's cover of it! Duran Duran is/always has been an amazingly talented and versatile band. Always full of surprises! Love you guys!!!
It is sublime. Ive noticed lately many bands from from the 80s era whose singers' voices are clear & strong still. Either they didnt abuse drugs & alcohol heavy or they got a long break by not performing a decade or more. Saw Depeche Mode last year & it was heady & incredible. David Gahan had the same tone and energy & managed all his notes. So blessed to have seen them. Way worth the expensive nosebleed seats too
I mean this from the bottom of my heart but this cover is STELLAR! I really love what they did with a fantastic classic!!!! They made it their own and their take on it must be played on the radio for the world to appreciate!!!! I cannot say enough awesome things about this!!!
Couldn't agree more. This needs concerted air play as this deserves to be absolutely massive! Faithful to the original but still enough originality to make the track completely fresh and current. Really hope to see the guys incorporate this into their live sets regardless of whether it's Halloween season. It could easily take the place of 'White lines' (not that it's a bad track live) which deserves to be rested for a time to make way for this masterpiece!
Great 👏👏👏 I have been listening to Duran Duran since 1982 and I will listen to them until I die. For me, Duran Duran is the greatest band of all time. With Love from İstanbul ❤
Awesome! I love this version of “Evil Woman!” Cool video too! Simon’s voice sounds great on all of Duran Duran’s songs! Nice! “Keep Rocking, Duran Duran!”❤❤❤
Two great Birmingham bands represented here: ELO and Duran Duran. As a huge Electric Light Orchestra fan I didn't know what to expect, but I love the discofied take on the song. Jeff Lynne would be proud.
❤❤Duran Duran never ever disappoints! This is SO GOOD! Simon sounds fabulous and Rogers Drums...Nick....and then of course that sexy bass. This is why Ive loved Duran Duran since 1982❤❤❤

@@videobenny3 Didn't know Duran Duran were from Birmingham too. It makes sense they chose an Jeff Lynne song to cover.
Love both bands from my hometown but this isn’t great, 80’s style ‘disco mix’ of a classic. Could be worse but could certainly be better
Simons voice just ages like a fine wine. Duran Duran has been consistently great since the 80's. One of the best bands ever imo
🎵😎🔥♥️
It's ELO, But at least it's a shameless copy, exactly the same to the point of having the ELO flying saucer whizzing around the video...
Utterly agreed, and they continue to prove it, unlike many overrated acts.
My opinion as well!
well beyond brilliant === Duran Duran --- no limits !!!
Duran Duran are just vibing and doing whatever they want at this point and I’m here for it
Totally!!

Right? ELO was my favorite band of the late 70s and Duran Duran my favorite from the 80s. This song is my youth!
Duran Duran does it again! Simon Le Bon's voice is amazing!
In 2028, Duran Duran have been with us for 50 years!! Formed in 1978, my favorite band since 1982❤️ Duranie Forever

Finally a cover that works in Duran Duran's style!
Also a music video that isn't AI, thank goodness!
ua-cam.com/video/nxz1DuVaRr8/v-deo.html not so sure this is Duran's style, if I think to Save a Prayer, New Moon on Monday, The Chaffeur, Rio, ...
I am amazed at the quality of his voice. Simon has an immortality regarding his voice, it's so young and vibrant. Unusual as one gets older. Amazing.
Auto tune I guess
Auto tune would not solve a tired old voice.
It would still be a tired old voice, but in tune.

@carryjgful you're right David Gahan is awesome too!
I actually think it's his signature voice is naturally boyish...kind of choir boy. I'm pretty sure it's not auto tune. Just reverb.
