I like the commentators. Better than watching a match without them. And I agree that every unit counts in Starcraft. One unit would still be considered "additional". Think about it this way, would you rather start with 1 Overlord, or none?
Some notable factors. The first is Boxer's scouting Savior's base first. This pretty much confirmed that Savior was going mass muta, so it led to Boxer's early decision to go full bore gol and missile defense. The second was boxer's superior micro. Boxer won minor battles with his gols in situations that lesser players would have lost. The third was Savior not being able to macro in time to overwhelm Boxer.
That must've hurt. xO What a match! I'm looking forward to the day (if ever)we get english subtitles into these matches, i wonder if some Korean folk are interested in making them... On a side note the Korean commentators might be a lot more experienced than.. well the rest of the world. :D What do u think?
Both guys had lots of units pumping out. I'm surprised that neither of them thought to get vessels or queens. That would've made for an interesting match.
Muta/ling is probably the best counter to goliaths. Pure lings will get killed to fast but the mutas take hits and allow the lings to swarm around the goliaths.
And you can do better? Goliaths aren't effective against mutas and zerglings, but he had max ataack upgrade and he was cutting all the resources, what would you do? start making ultras?
@FroztByte4 Good point about the 50% damage! It may just be one of those things you don't think about when you're in the moment. He already had the Factories and Charron Boosters, so he may have just though, Goliath (never thinking Valkyrie). Could have also been the versatility of the Goliath being able to get the Zerglings/Drones. Or he just didn't want to start Starports...who knows...
Savior is becoming the new yellow in his now what i assume rivalry with boxer, only savior is better then yellow and i will really enjoy seeing them rematch in future
I think they both could have benefited from a wider range of units. Like a science vessel for the terran. But they just decided to have their way with this game :)

wow first time i see Boxer went mass Goliaths and its a good decision. Savior...i didn't understand why he didn't produce zerlings as welll to overwhelm the Goliaths along with the Mutas cuz the Mutas were basically shooting ducks.
Swarm would have made Mutas pretty useless though, since after the Gols kill the lings (surprising well, I might add) they can hide under the swarm themselves to not get damaged at all by the Mutas.
@nekftw I think that's a little your opinion but it does work with the idea that women are so called better in doing mutiple things at a time. I would love to see some highly organized woman 1v1 boxer xD

well, since its a huge map, and Z usually tech, boxer should might as well tech as well. Also, since savior luvs using mutas, boxer went mass upgraded gols. Savior miscalculated the gols to his mutas...GG
This match is a "thrown" match. Savior was such a great player that he was able to do it without making it look intentional. To me Boxer with long hair looks weird.
ur funny, and totally oblivious to the limit of what the commentors can see, because they watch the screen the spectator watches, and every unit counts in starcraft. i think your funny and the commentors are good.
savior couldn't have changed his units to anything else because he probably had his mutalisks already upgraded and boxer also had all of his goliaths already upgraded 3 levels so savior had to try to win with mutalisks which he couldn't do

I dont understand saviors thinking, after his first two successful attacks and boxer opened up the mineral wall he should have gotten tons of zerglins hydras and lurkers and just flooded thru gates. It would have been an easy win. Mass mutas vs mass goliaths is suicide. I thought Savior was just toying with him and was gonna switch but he didn.
i have never seen savior got owned like that :D Boxer did the smart thing, check all the replay of Savior Vs Terran, SAvior always win with muta when T goes Marines, marines are too weak less hp and short range.
@myoon87 well, one went to the army and got bad, the other got destroyed by bisu in 2007 and now is screwed over because of a fixed match scandal which may end savior's career
I think the muta's would've gotten Savior a victory if he had ignored the initial goliath push and instead hit Boxer's base. A mass of Muta's that big should have been easily able to down the SCV's and turrets, being free to hit factories or supply depo's (tho I think command center and factories would be more important)
mineral blocking prevents both sides from massing normal TvZ units, T on defense to start off cuz Z obviously would go muta harrass thats why muta vs goliath
What is the crowd shouting at the begining of the game? How come there are no girls that are professional players but there are plenty of girls in the crowd? They just like to watch SC not to play it?
i am thinking the whole time....go hydra, go hydra...or do a fast tech to defilers....savior is unharrassed into the 14th minute. i am sure he could have pulled that off.
This is nothing to do with skill, although I respect the emperor, Monty hall is HELLA imba against zerg. It has been recently removed from the maps used in proleague
he could only do that build cause it was monty hall. boxer is my fave player of all time, but i must say that monty hall is very unfair for zerg players.

I didn't expect goliaths to be that effective against mutas, but then it probably helped with Boxer's micro

I was thinking ensnare. Anything hit with it is essentially half as useful as it was before.

Goliaths make oversized marine when it come to ground vs ground but these guys are incredible ground to air units.
