It was interesting seeing the different bike u had at ur camp site. I got to say u make riding a bike look fun and easier on the body y'all be safe out there and maybe we see each other again
Glad Wolfman is on the road to recovery but happy you got LeBron in as back up. If the smallest size is barely enough for the Tick, they need a XS, most gravel bike should have a lower stand over than a road bike would. Nice to see all microShift with a good gear range. Great job guys
True about the need for an XS.
That’s a beautiful color blue. And that built-in bag is pretty slick, really. Everybody needs a bag for something. I’m glad everybody’s making gravel bikes, it’s just going to drive down prices and give us some cool options.
Lebron was a good guest host. Prayers to Wolfman
Hope you get well soon Wolf.
If you are looking for budget, may a recommend the Poseidon X Ambition Gen 2? It looks amazing at $750
I have a Poseidon. I feel like the spec on the Poseidon is a bit better.
Wolf, that might be a company to reach out to. Great bike, I have no complaints with the Poseidon X Ambition.
Hope your dad is feeling better soon mate
Get well soon Wolfman 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Get better soon Wolfman 💪
the duo works well
Happy healing and may God bless ya'! 😊
God's Only Son Permits Eternal Life!
😇🙏💪
For $1k+ not having thru axle is pretty chintzy.
Integrated bag is not really the good thing you think it is.
That headset is also kinda lacking.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Cats meow
I wouldn’t. He’s fast enough down that trail with an MTB.
Glad the Wolfman is up and kicking.
It's been a while since I commented on your videos, life happens so not much time for UA-cam (nor biking, haven't rode at all this year) . Sad to hear for papa Wolf's health issues. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Stay safe boys!
That bike is a total waste of money at its price point.
Buy the Ozark Trail for $180? (I originally said 250), dump $500-700 in wheels and components, and you'll still be ahead.
You could literally buy that bike in individual components and build it cheaper than mongoose is charging.
Those brifters are the original that Micronew is based on. They work very well. There is a little rats nest of cables in the front but at least it is simple to work with. I like the fact they include a custom frame bag, thats pretty cool. Not a fan of that top tube shape but whatever.
Well done LaBron! I enjoyed your relaxed and chill demeanor as well as your well thought out roadie perspective on this bike.
Nice bike. Those drop bars are tilted way to high that you may not be able to use the drops well, i suggest tilting the dropbars downward a bit, so that the drops are horizontal and I love that frame bag. I fell asleep after the video and then dreamt of that frame bag on my gravel bike.
True. This will likely be adjusted before he rides it.
"In the 50's" LOFL Hahaha... At this price point, the only thing I think they missed was a dropper post, and maybe, huge maybe, a Carbon Fork.. But all in all, it looks like Mongoose is taking it seriously with this offering.
A carbon fork would offset the weight of a dropper, so good call. At 25 Ibs or so, this bike is not that heavy for what it is. That said, it’s a nice fork and finding a carbon one that has all of the connection points, internal routing and the same profile may be tough.
This looks like the Mongoose Grit gravel bike. It seems to be the same frame and forks, with the odd upper tube jump, internal routing and multiple mounting points. The Grit is $378 at Walmart, though.
There are five Braizons for water bottles and two fork racks. I have two Mongoose Grits from Walmart and two Elroys from Amazon. I’ve converted both Elroys to E-bikes.
I think this is overpriced compared to the likes of the GT Grade Sport which is $840.00. This doesn't seem like an upgrade from the Walmart gravel bike, certainly not for almost $1,000 more.
The GT comes with a carbon fork, AdventX drivetrain, 12mm thru axles, FSA headset.
The GT would be a good one to compare if you intend to keep reviewing gravel bikes. Plus, a return to the GT roots of the channel.
I'm not crazy about that bent top tube. I had the Kent E-mountain bike and it just threw off my ride vibe!
even $1k seems way too steep. let alone $1.2k! what does this do that then $250 Ozark Trail doesn't?
Dang I wish I could have made that trip! That bike is FANTASTIC looking! But $1K.... I'm not sure. I like that it comes in all the sizes though. I would feel more comfortable paying $799. Great job Lebron!
Microshift makes a 1x & 2xgravel groupset called the Swordfish that uses the AdventX derailer. I would have liked to see that on here for a $1200 bike.
Also, surprised it is quick release instead of thru axles. That limits your options for a fork upgrade. It also limits options for better wheelsets. At this price point, i would like to see other than quick release.
The custom frame bag is a nice touch. I wish there was one for my gravel bike. The extra mounting points can come in handy.
As for a dropper, i put one on mine. I like the small adjustment ability during rides. Also. I tend to drop it fully when i come to a stop. Slam it down and have it out of the way. I think its safer for me having tte seat out of the way.
Glad Wolfman is recovering. Hope for a speedy recovery.

when you popped the chain here, that is due to cross chaining
"Cross-chaining is the act of riding in the smallest or largest cassette sprocket and the corresponding chainring at the same time."
no small small
no big big
but also there's a limit to stop that on the front, you can make it so it doesn't have the ability to shift too far, high limit
What's wrong with wolf dad? Best wishes!
Meanwhile, that frame designs looks like a mongoose grit. For the price of 1k, they can put on a better groupset than a R8, which is one of their basic road group. Microshift have dedicated gravel groups, like sword black, sword, advent 9, and advent x. And for $1200 regular price, you can get a Cannondale top stone 4 that comes with advent x...
Get well soon Wolfman, hope it's not anything too sketchy you're recovering from.
Quite a nice bike... not sure about the 'hump' but it's a nice colour. Shame it's not hydraulic brakes but I get why with the price point and being drop bar... I can imagine you might want something with a bit more bite once you start loading it up for big bikepacking rides. Maybe cable pull hydraulics like TRP HY-RD or Juintechs might do the trick.
That’s like a $300 bike for almost $1000. That’s crazy. Return it.
Hello! Good to see you again wolfman. 😁👍🏻 I have a request. Could you guys review DNM RCP2 Burner? I've been looking onto it for a while now and I couldn't decide if it is worthy to buy or not. Hope to see more videos from you guys! 😁👍🏻
Its in the same price point as the Trek Checkpoint, Specialized Diverge etc…
This is a decent offering by Mongoose and looks like they are at least trying
But I would rather buy from any of the top tier manufacturers because of used market value.
Mongoose simply hurt themselves with their cheaply built bikes over the years.
Maybe it would be best to start a new line rather than save their existing brand.
I'm glad to hear you are ok. I hope you do have a speedy recovery. keep the wheels down and the brakes off.
Your patrons ( I'm taking the liberty of speaking for all of us ) we are not going anywhere; we stay put.
Looks like a solid gravel bike, looking forward to the real-time review. I was wondering if something happened since the videos seemed to have slowed down get better soon Wolfman. Also LebronPhoto did a great job as a co host for the episode.
Really hope wolfman gets well soon good work labron i really want to see a gravel bike go down the cats meaw if you did please be careful dont think i will ever go for gravel much prefer xc or trail mtb with some fast rolling tyres, if you put mtb handle bar and beefy front tyre on one how different would it be to putting curly bars and skinny tyres on an xc bike could be some intresting content there that tapered head tube makes it versatile
whats up with everyone dying or almost dying, lately I just lost my nephew 😢 glad your pops in ok
Get better Wolf man hopefully you'll recover soon
Really liking the look of this bike, those tyres are sexy looking! Hope the Wolf gets better soon.

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS 😂🤘
Get better soon Wolfie!
I mean....Wolfmaster!
No idea why people hate on mongoose. The majority of bikes are made in the same place. And yes, you may need to upgrade something. But just about any built bike you buy, you will swap/replace something
If I have any hate its not the brand itself its the pricing. That full suspension bike that was reviewed it completely outclassed by Polygon at a cheaper price.
They're ugly and usually heavy. They're also low spec for the price.
If it wasn't for mongoose BMX wouldn't be the same tho.
Cause… for $1200 you get a heavy bike with sub-par components. Those looking for a “bargain” gravel rig should look into something from Poseidon. MUCH better bikes, with superior components, and 5 lbs lighter. T2 aluminum? Crappy and inferior for intended use to T6.
