Thanks so much for doing this. It was such a gut punch when I heard the news yesterday . As a kid growing up in Wisconsin Bob Uecker was such an icon . I remember listening to games as a kid and listening to games while we tailgated outside before heading into games. I really appreciate you taking the time to show us all the tributes and sharing your stories . Ueck was just an amazing individual and a true hall of famer . Brewers games are going to feel a little bit different . There will never be another one like Ueck.
I've lived here 34 years, and I feel like Bob was the one who welcomed me to Milwaukee through his amazing calls of Brewer games. All the stories....man....just so hard to comprehend that he is gone. He may be gone, but he will NEVER be forgotten!!! RIP Ueck! Thanks Phil, for taking one for the team and sneaking into AmFam Field for us!
Not the biggest sports fan myself, But I grew up with Uecker. From hearing him on Am radio in my dads garage with the game going on in the background. I watched Mr Belvider as well. He was a iconic voice in my life and local hero in many ways! Thank you for this vid my friend!👍
Great video man. I left home after graduating from college, always love coming back. It's been a hard week. Listening to Bob was like being a kid again.
Uecker was awesome. Loved watching him in Mr. Belvedere and major league. Listened to him on the radio. It wasn't summer until Bob called a game. Great man.
Bob was one of a kind! I was always amazed hearing the stories of how he could have a conversation with someone off mic while holding the cough button & call the game at the same time. I met him briefly when I was a kid at Wrestlemania 4. Very nice man.
Even being a Cubs man i know damn well Bob was someone special. From Carsom reruns to growing up watching Mr Belvedere and of course Major League. Actually put in a Belvedere dvd last night. Still funny. Thats a much better place to go than Target. Kudos man.
You always knew it was summer when you'd turn on the radio for a Brewers game and hear "Hello again everybody!" I'm gutted right now. He will be missed. Somewhere God, Carson and Uke are laughing right now.
Wow that dude was just about everywhere and did about everything! I had no idea how much he meant to you. I do remember him growing up especially with Mr. Belvedere and the Miller Lite commercials. "He missed the tag! "He missed the tag! RIP Mr. Bob Uecker "Mr. Baseball" I'll drink a couple of Miller High LIfes in tribute to him this weekend. I grew up a Cubs fan and Dodgers. Don't watch sports anymore. But have mad respect for that man! Anyway thanks for taking us on this awesome and special tribute journey! Was very cool of that dude to let you in and film! Right on man!
"Heywood leads the league in all offensive catagories including nose hair. When this guy sneezes he looks like a party favor." He did an episode of Futurama too: "Man I haven't seen playing this bad since the days of Bob Uecker"
side note...at 1:58 is s statue of the three construction workers who were killed during the construction of Miller Park/AmFam Field. A massive blue crane, which was used to erect the stadium's roof, collapsed onto the first base side of the park, ultimately taking their lives. Damage was over $100M, and put the stadium's opening date back a year to 2001.
I can’t remember when Country Stadium was destroyed, I remember the last summer I was there seeing Miller Park in the distance excited to go inside the next season.
@johnfritz1164 yes the first Packer game I ever saw was at County Stadium. Remember when Sharpe thought he was in the end zone against Detroit? Snow was covering the field
“Jussst a bit outside…”👊🏾💯
⚾️👊 Classic!

I agree, it won’t be the same without him.

We had Harry Caray a legend!! Milwaukee had another legend Bob Uecker, just old-school legendary baseball announcers, sad day.
Legends my friend 👊
Also remember Jack Brickhouse. Cubs announcer 1940-44, 1947-1981. White Sox 40-45, 47-67. Bears 53-77, and Bulls 66-73.

The Ueck :)
I will always call it county stadium. but it should be renamed bob uecker stadium
I agree 👊
@@davemoffett3657 Unfortunately stadium naming rights bring in millions per year. I don't see them giving that up.
Milwaukee county studium was much bigger I watched it being destroyed.
I can’t remember when Country Stadium was destroyed, I remember the last summer I was there seeing Miller Park in the distance excited to go inside the next season.
I also remember the Packers would play at County Stadium a few times a year. 1953-1994. County Stadium was torn down in Dec 2000.
