The funny thing is, Angelina loves shoes, and she gave her favorite pair to that little girl who started the whole shoeless performance pledge.
Angelina is always bare foot as a statement, she met a young girl without shoes in the cold outside (couldnt afford them) she gave her, her shoes and is bare foot ever since everytime she sings to bring awerness, hoping no children should never go bare foot, she wrote a book about it and is the youngest person at 10yrs old to have a book published in Norway.

Great reaction! This song is on my playlist of AJ songs that i listen to in my car. Even at this age, she shows how she can take a song and sing it like a seasoned veteran who has been doing this for decades. An incredible overall performance by our barefoot princess! On a side note, you have an Angelina troll going by the name James @user-mb3ow3vo7u, who goes from one AJ reactor to another, leaving negative comments, criticisms, lies, and disparaging remarks about her. Many reactors know about this troll and have blocked him from their pages. Why someone will troll a young talented girl who promotes love and positivity is very odd! 🤔🤔🤔
I hope you thought to take your socks off first, because she will blow them off. I never did find one of the ones she blew off when I first heard her. Now I just keep them in my pocket while she is singing. I'm 77 but this is real love!!!!!

I always considered the Nina Simone rendition of this song was 'The Gold Standard',
but then this 10 year old takes the stage and coordinates her own arrangement with
a professional orchestra, taking it to a completely higher level than Nina's. To me, this
is 'The Platinum Standard' for this song since I've never heard anyone do it better.

This is possible the best example of how professional she is. Her voice & singing is always great, but her presents at 10yrs old is beyond any performer of any age!

Maybe you'd like her version of The Show Must Go On. Or I'd Rather Go Blind. I assume you know she always performs barefoot because when she was 6 she was in Iran and met a street vendor girl who didn't have any shoes. They talked, compared their dreams, encouraged each other (probably in Farsi--she speaks English and Norwegian fluently, some Swedish, Japanese, and who knows what). She gave her beloved green boots to the girl and vowed to always perform barefoot to remind us that there are children in need. She wrote in her diary (at 6!) that when she did that it was like a door opened in her heart and she climbed a stairway to heaven. She wrote a book about it and became Norway's youngest publish author.
She performs barefoot to remember a girl she met at 6 years old when she lived in Middle East , also keeps her grounded and humble

There's something so special about this performance of Angelina's that I must have watched it 30 times so far. I love seeing her with a full band, as you said, a rare treat. She did some summer concerts with some members of that same band. Although the recording quality is nowhere near this TV performance, they're stunning performances. Angelina's voice is so powerful with a band behind her, large or small. Her summer Norway concerts this year showed that.
She truly is awesome, she performs barefoot all the time and will only wear sock if she is on the street moving from place to place. She says she’ll start wearing shoes when every child has a pair, she donates a lot of shoes to kids around the world.
Hi, Seb! Thank you for continuing your discovery of Angelina. Although your journey will be long and follow many paths, I can guarantee that you will never be disappointed with a performance from her. It was when I was listening to her performance of this song that I realised her voice had lost all of it childishness, and she had the inalienable right to stand tall with all other ,professional singers and be judged as such. At 10 years of age, that is unheard of. 🙂
There are so many things I get from this performance.
(1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice.
(2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move.
(3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus.
(4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance.
(5) That wonderful crescendo at the end.
(6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance
(7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand.
(8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 4.16 in your reaction video.
(9) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause.
Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different
Angelina is a fully-developed professional vocal artist here, comfortably delivering a classic tune in her own unique and identifiable style, on TV and in front of a live audience with a great orchestra behind her, all at the age of 10! It's just crazy.
What a performance one more time ! Everything here is well done, the tempo, the first drum, all the band with violonists, the lights, and of course Angelina ! Presence, each word understandable, serious but also cute little smile, and this final, my God, I was holding my chair without breathing and delivered in front of such talent ! Angelina you are the best ♥️

One of the things that strikes me, apart from her immeasurable talent of course, when I see reactors reacting to this song, is the sheer joy and adrenaline rush they get. It's fantastic to see you waddling on your feet after her performance. I feel the same joy.
Wasn't that something!? Angelina had been entertaining us since she was 7 years old and when she hit 10 years old she stepped it up "a couple " of notches. No longer was the industry regarding her as a wonderful kid singer with such a mature voice. Rather, people in the music industry realized she was a "pro" and would be someone to be reckoned with in the many years to come. Her rendition of 'Feeling Good' is the best version of the song I have ever heard! It's not only her voice, she is also an artistic genius. Powerful words, indeed. Her interpretive instincts of what the message of a song is, it is so beyond comprehension we are in constant awe of her. Of course her age can always be a topic of conversation but there is no doubt the blueprint is there for everyone to see.
Because of her limited exposure to the public, at large, (family decision, finishing school is the priority right now) there are so, so many people who haven't discovered her yet. When they do, oh my! Will you expect those new "fans" to act any differently than we did when we discovered her? Of course not. If a wonderful song of hers has received a million views on social media outlets, when the "whole world" discovers her that one million will become ten million in a flash.

This version of this song by Angelina should be the definitive example, period.
She had been actively studying music and vocal since 5, So she's got 5 years real experience at the time of this song. Then consider that she started competing on Norway's got talent at 7, finally winning at the age of 8. At 16, her voice is liquid gold with 11 true years of training and experience.
I think perhaps more years than that. She was agitating with her mom at age 4 or 5 that she felt she was already knowlegeable enough to compete on NGT.

The song originated on stage in the musical "The Roar of The Greasepaint, The Smell of The Crowd" written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Nina Simone was the first recording artist to cover it, and she did what she always did and made the song completely unique in her own inimitable style. It became a jazz standard because of her. Surprise surprise that Angelina, the jazz master picked up on this song in it's jazz interpretation and absolutely slayed it! Enjoyed all of your discoveries on this journey! Angelina is incredible here. She has a wonderful warm rich sound over her whole register and can make her voice do all sorts of crazy stuff. The blast at the end gives me chills each and every time and I knew it would blow your mind. But during the whole song she is doing wonderful stuff with rhythm and pauses. and many magical stuff happens in a slow build up. Just amazing this!

I love your enthusiastic reactions to our barefoot princess. I had the pleasure of spending some time with Angelina and her mother after two of her Kurbadhagen concerts. I flew from New Jersey twice to see her. It was magical. She can make you cry. There is no singer on the planet that comes close to her artistry. She has no ego at all. If you see some of her concerts , you will notice that she waves back to someone waving at her. "Feeling Good" is one of my favorites-especially the ending

Since it's Christmas time I found a song Angelina did for a radio station when she was 11 years old , yet it's a must hear!! It's called "Mary's Boy Child"

Angelina was introduced to the song by dj Avicii when Angelina was 9 years old. Angelina did sing with him in a Volvo commercial. Angelina's full version here is based on Avicii's version but added Nina Simone horns and her own special ending.
While she missed the mark as to back glow light, she knew exactly where the golden spiral was between the strings and horns and sang in the pocket presenting yet another astounding performance. As to barefeet, it's not about the arches, it's about grounding the soul/body to the earth, there's real measurable current flow, we've sadly separated ourselves from it via shoes and these demon black mirrors we carry all day not caring how much bad emf penetrates within us.

At any age, especially these early years, she is beautiful--in voice, in soul, and in person. She has the remarkable ability to bring joy to our hearts, and we respond with love for hers. And with the full band backing her glorious vocals, this was way past just being gorgeous to our ears. And as an aside, I've also fallen in love with her beat tapping feet, especially when she wearing those long gowns and they sneak out from under.
She has her album, but I still love coming back to heat these because just DAMN ❤❤❤❤
Strengthening her feet, or trying to feel the “vibe” , or anything else like that has absolutely nothing to do with why Angelina sings barefoot. The back story on that is far, far more endearing and further proof of her unwavering compassion and empathy for her fellow man. You should read up on it. She wrote a book about it when she was nine. It’s called “Between Two Hearts”. I highly recommend it. It will blow you away as much as her singing does. Guaranteed.

Sebs, Angelina during most everyday activities including rehearsals wears some sort of protection on her feet. It is only during actual performances that she appears barefoot. Angelina's performances are simply beautiful. She seems to have a direct line to my tear ducts.
I think this is a charity performance. AJ has raised millions for charity.

Early in the comment stream there were several people starting to kind of jump on Sebs for not knowing the story (not implying you were one of those). I have watched his reactions to Angelina from the beginning. He is a really good guy who loves Angelina and I didn't feel he deserved that, so I made that comment and copy/paste it to 5 or 6 commenters who were repeating the story of the shoes (you just happened to be one) in an attempt to head off the negativity. Two of the guys actually thanked me for the correction, not that it means anything. So for what it's worth I will apologize for upsetting you somehow, that was not the intent. It was only meant to be a gentle statement to say "hey guys, he does know the story about the shoes". Life is way too short to hold a grudge, so I hope my apology will enable you to let this go. That's the one I was going to suggest. Angelina turned into a beautiful Country Ballad. "Crazy' is great as well but more crooner than country. IMO Patsy had that kind of voice. And Angelina is as accomplished a crooner as anyone else. 👣

I was surprised to see them listed on Wikipedia as "Crazy" 'Country, Traditional POP' and "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" listed as 'Country-Disco, POP' I may have to redefine all the music I listen to. 😂

@@AJfanboy1 I was born in '55 and I grew up listening to Patsy. She was probably my favorite vocalist. It was so smooth and beautiful which is why she strikes me as a crooner. I loved country till rock & Motown crowded it out for the most part. 'Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (the way Angelina sang it) sounded very much like the Country Ballads I remember loving so much. It was my favorite kind of Country. Patsy fits that category as well but that voice equaled or surpassed some of the best crooners of the time and I didn't care for the crooners of the 50's. like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, etc... I prefered the rock crooners which came along in the 60's. Like Frankie Valli, etc... Just my thoughts. Miley's rendition was more Pop than Country. IMO Not the way Angelina sang it.
