This crossing was not like others, we were not going via the Tory channel, where are we going?
We asked the staff and found we were going up to The Brothers (Ngāwhatu-kai-ponu) a small group of islands in Cook Strait, off the east coast of Arapaoa Island - then we would turn into the entrance to Queen Charlotte Sound, and down to Picton.
A much longer trip than expected, but quite interesting to go this alternate way.
