nice. i had this mpc when it came out. looooved the size, but so much menu diving because of the small screen, plus no grid edit. i never used the qlink like that though, dope. this beat came out legit
I had it, sold it , bought another one . And what I like is the small screen the need to only work with my ear. That also why I like the Roland mc101 . Thx for the kind words
I also start with this mpc and hated the screen . Tried many gear , digitakt , mc101 and get a live. And after dealing with all these workflow I get back to the 500 and find the way to use it. Now I keep making beat with it and the mpc live
While it's true that other MPC models might offer more advanced features and capabilities, I can't deny that the MPC 500 still holds a special place in my heart. It might not be the most powerful or cutting-edge, but let's not underestimate its potential. In the right hands, the MPC 500 can still create incredible beats and evoke unique vibes that resonate with the true essence of hip-hop and lo-fi music. It's like that old, reliable friend who might not have the latest gadgets, but their warmth and authenticity shine through in every interaction. The MPC 500 has a charm of its own, and I've discovered that embracing its limitations has encouraged me to be more creative, resourceful, and hands-on with my production process. So, while I agree that other MPCs offer a wider range of possibilities, let's not overlook the artistic value and creative flow that the MPC 500 brings to the table. After all, it's not always about having the best equipment; it's about how you use it and the vibes you create with it. And for that, the MPC 500 is capable of delivering some unforgettable moments in my beat-making journey.
@@christhemadhh7596 I can understand the place it takes in your heart. I had taken the habit of bringing mine for the break at work. Where they ducked up it is on what makes the strength of the mpc: The pads. They messed around with the velocity settings. Impossible to really play with the pads. And I had buttons that started not working. Otherwise for the rest not much to say. The 1000 was perfect for a little beast. I spend most of my time on the 2000 but I put my hands on them all. Love the Renaissance, build like a tank and looks beautiful
@@flyingisland7583 Absolutely! The MPC500 does have its limitations, especially when it comes to the velocity sensitivity of the pads. In comparison to the MPC Live, it might feel a bit lacking. Additionally, I agree that the buttons do tend to wear out more frequently, but that's where I come prepared with a stock of replacements to keep it running smoothly. While the MPC2000 and MPC1000 are indeed top-notch machines, there's something about working with the MPC500's imperfection
@@christhemadhh7596 For me the 500 is a miniature version of the 3000. It's a similar workflow with less on the screen so you have to menu dive a bit but the workflow is basically the same. Sampling and chopping by ear instead of wave, same type of creating sequences that can be put together into a song. I like that workflow so for me both the 3000 and the 500 are my current go to MPCs that I use.
enyni lépést! elegem lett az mpc 500 ból! ez egy rendkívül időigényes sampler! alig hogy megvettem adom is el!
It may seems time consuming at first like an octo track but when you know how to deal with it, it turns to be a creative tool box

Smooth bro.
Thanks for listening bro
"over dub" is like resampling ?
No overdub allow to record without erasing previous event on the same track
I started on this mpc.. hated the screen. The workflow was aight. Now I got a mpc one and it's been almost 5 years of making beats

The MPC 500 is with no doubt the worst MPC. Nice vibe though
