- Last summer we went to Bremen. To make video's for the tourism board. I love my job :D Because I loved the city and we shot a lot of things we couldn't use in the original videos, I decided to make a video for my channel as well! So is it sponsored? We were here on a paid job, but no one paid me to make this specific video for my own channel, it wasn't part of the deal :) Just to clarify how this video ended up here!
For all information on where to go and what to see, I'll list everything down below.

-WHERE TO SLEEP IN BREMEN-
The hotel we got was right in the heart of town, very close to the marketsquare and böttcherstrasse. I liked it!
► Radisson Blu: www.radissonhotels.com/en-us/...
--WHAT TO SEE AND DO IN BREMEN-
► Go to the Bremer Ratskeller for food and a wine tour! See the oldest cask wine and taste amazing homemade chocolates along the way.
► MUST SEE! The Bremen town hall with the model ships. Very impressive!!! Don't skip this!
► Walk through the böttcherstrasse
► Visit the historical market square with the town musicians statue amonst other things.
► Go to schlachte embankment for a drink or a sunset stroll, or a market
► Get lost in the small lanes of Schnoor - very pretty old neighborhood!
--WHERE TO EAT IN BREMEN-
There are lots of good choices
► Markthalle 8 (markethall 8) is great with lots of food from all over the world. Great variety, very tasty!
► Teestubchen - for an afternoon tea (in schnoor), loved the tea, cakes and the whole ambiance.
► Alexander von Humboldt - dinner on a boat!
► Ratskeller - great dishes and very unique ambiance
► Bremer Bonbon Manufaktur - candystore, see how the candy is made and bring something sweet back home.

My hometown, beautiful vlog! I also recommend a walk in the „Bürgerpark“, which is near the city central station.
I’m from Southern California but my great grandmother was from Bremen. Last name Otto. Do you know how I can find more information?
@Jan Am in your hometown at this moment 🕺
Bring me there please 😆😆
I know it's been a while but I just wanted to ask if I would struggle in Bremen without knowing any German?
This fantastic coverage of the town. I love how they put a lot of effort in conserving the old buildings, preserving the wines, and the tea in tiny cups. Bremen ist schön!
Nice video, Bremen is my place for 4 years! Never get tired of being here🇩🇪
Bremen is Beautiful.
Excellent story-telling, superb cinematography.
This seems to be a very charming city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
Look up how the tram network works first. It's the most convenient way of traversing the city, especially now, that cars are beginning to dissapear from the city centre. It's not very complicated, but knowing wich ticket to get, can save you a fair bit of money.
I like this vlog, very comprehensive in narrating. Germany is my dream country
I love your videos. I really hope you publish more of them !
Thanks for sharing, your video open our heart, broadens our mind, and fills our life with stories that you tell us!!!
great story telling :) I lived there for 5 years and loved it. Tthere are also some nice hints a didn´t know.

My great grandparents left Germany and Slovakia from Bremen in the early 1900s. Hope to visit this town one day.

You forgot the Freimarkt😆
The oldest and the second bigest Volksfest in germany 🥰
I love the Freimarkt and the parade on the Saturday during it. Last 2 weekend in October is the best time to visit. Enjoy the Freimarkt and take in a Werder game.
Wonderful!
Goed bezig! Blijf video's maken!
Beautiful sharing my freind thank. ❤
Great vlog of Bremen. I have not yet visited this city, perhaps in the future. Greetings from Mechelen (Belgium)
Leuke vlog uit Bremen. Veel geschiedenis en wat ik vooral te gek vond was het schip waar de kanonnen werkelijk kunnen gebruikt worden. Groetjes uit Mechelen

Too bad you only show the city center. I've been in Bremen like 10x and there is so much more to see. The Burgerpark, the Rhododendronpark, the Ueberseemuseum. You can also go for long bike rides along the Weser or even swim in the Weser. The port/harbour is also very interesting
Btw I love Bremen but the Viertel is not that great, at least parts of it, and you don't want to be there when it's dark
First and Oldest Hanzecity Stavoren lid in 1285 NL ! Stavoren = The Oldest CITY in The Netherlands 2521 years old. And the old Capital in NL, and Kingscity and Crowingcity. The Oldest Hanzecity and Garnizoenscity from NL.

Stavoren is a picturesq town on the shores of the old Zuiderzee. After the Zuiderzee was closed-off from the sea in 1932 it became the "IJsselmeer". Among other, the film shows the beautiful old town and the ferry that still runs between Stavoren and Enkhuizen (on the other side of the IJsselmeer). Also a unique rail ferry can be seen that moved goods trains back and forth across the Zuiderzee. Stavoren lies in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is the first town that obtained in 1061 / in 2021 960 years city-rights in the 11th centure by Count Egbert with permission from German emperor Hendrik V. It has only about 1000 inhabitants and is an old "Hanzestad" trading city. Also it is one of the 11 cities of the famous "Elfstedentocht". This is a world-famous skating event which can only be held during harsch winters to ensure an ice thickness of at least 15 cm on all the canals of the route. There is also a well know legend about the (Lady)"Vrouwtje of Stavoren" about a rich silly woman who eventually became poor due to her strange behaviour. More about this legend can be found on Wikipedia.

I’m a Hispanic from Southern California, my grandmothers mother migrated from Germany during WW2. Her last name was Otto and my grandmother told me they were from Bremen. I wish I knew more information on her
u should visit the auswandererhaus in Bremerhaven
Look ur grandma up in the internet
Did they came with a ship from Bremen to the US? If yes, we have a special Museum for this Immigration in Bremerhaven.

@Dee Dee "my grandmothers mother migrated from Germany during WW2. Her last name was Otto and my grandmother told me they were from Bremen. I wish I knew more information on her".
Take a look at the home page of the emigration center in Bremerhaven. About 7 million people emigrated from Bremerhaven to the USA between 1830 and 1975. I posted the link before, but it was deleted. Good luck and all the best! Greetings from Bremen :-))
Your guiding very fantastic
Been here for 4 times..,miss this place a lot,

I'm travelling to Germany this year so this is invaluable to me! Thanks Gretl! Bremen is absolutely beautiful! Gotta start practicing my German again - guten tag! Sprechen sie English?
Valuable information is always good!
Hope to travel in Germany soon, more vlogs
The beautiful voice i liked so much 😍😍😍😍😍
My grandmother - and - my great grandmother who raised me, were both born in Bremen!! We had a charming painted carved wooden miniature carving of the "Brementown musicians" in the living room - and yes, honored and talked about Roland!!!
Roland was a great and brave Knight of Emperor Charlemagne ("Karl der Grosze") so he truly IS important, historically! And there is a promise that Christendom will be restored worldwide - so very likely Roland will be part of that beautiful phenomenon.🌹
For many years, German Chocokate, BY LAW, was required to contain 70% cocoa - not a lot of "filler, artificial ingredients & sugar" so that could account for the quality - and fame - of German Chocolate!
Guten Appetit!!!💖
PS: Family surname is GREVE.👍
I visited Bremen in 1995.Fantastic place, and the people were great. Hopefully when this horrible pandemic is over, I will return.
Leuke video ik ga er morgen heen.
Germany are such a wonderfull country❤
Hi! I loved your video! I'll be travelling to Bremen ina couple weeks. How are things now?
are you here?
Interesting that you have pronounced "Schnoor" in the Dutch manner. In German it is spoken with a long "o" instead of the "u" like in Dutch.
A really nice and informative video which I have really enjoyed.
Thanx so much! Haha - yeah the Dutch in me always shines through I am afraid 😂
í always follow your blog...
I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT IN BREMEN
nice video
wow, I miss traveling. How have you been during this time?
watching this video i noticed that my two days in bremen i missed a lot of cool places, and all for drinking hot wine, beer, cuming licor, mexikaner shots, passing through the bremen red light district, and 1 euro hot dogs oh dear
Thank you
I’m English. I stopped over her with my family on the way to Greece when we had a holiday a long time ago. I would really like to return. I find the place very interesting. In fact I really like all cities across the Lowlands/Denmark/Northern Germany/a northwest Poland area. I often wonder what would life have been like of England hand become part of the Hansa.
Thanks
How are you now Ms Gretl, waiting for your newest upload, Keep safe!

Hi, question: did you have all the information you are talking about in this film gathered before you went to Bremen (and therefore you knew what to film) or did you find it the scenes you took afterwards?
Good question! Sorry for answering th is super late. I did have the info but certainly not all the texts ready. I filmed first and did the voice over later on :)
My friend is bremenian

Watching here sending my love and support ❤new friend godbless
Im planing to study in The uni of Bremen. Can i get the information about the condition both livin and studing environment ?
Living can be quit expensive but it is way easier when u re livin with others (wg-gesucht.de might help you). I dont study in bremen but some of my friends do. The university isnt very pretty but kinda cool and quit big. Also its not that far a way from the city center (20 min by bike)
When u will back again with your travel vedio
