Braces are great in some cases, but orthotropics takes the holistic approach of the whole skull and can affect the entire facial structure, not just the jaw, and it is considered better for you than standard braces. Everyone's experiences are different, so I'm not saying there is an objective answer yet, but this is what I've found out through my research. I also recently got the Biobloc appliance created by Dr. Mew to correct issues like mine. Now my maxilla and chin are almost back to the normal position. I can also now breathe through my nose much easier than before, it's actually amazing. Over the last few months, the difference is very noticeable. That happens for a lot of people especially if they are younger. What you said is definitely correct for people who start in their late teens or when they are adults.

Creatine doesn't have anything to with calories. It just allows for more efficient energy (ATP) production, which allows for you to train harder and put more tension on the target muscle(s). If you're not getting enough calories, the only solution is literally to eat more; you can't supplement your way out of a deficit.

The jawline is not an effect. Clenching teeth tightly during mewing can also have the side effect of needing to get braces.
