Yakov Vladimirovich Flier (Russian: October 21 [O.S. October 8], 1912 - December 18, 1977) was a Soviet pianist. In 1936 he won the international competition in Vienna, ahead of the runner-up E. G. Gilels. In 1938 he won third place at the Ysaÿe International Piano Competition in Brussels, losing to E. G. Gilels.
