Cleaning your fireplace can be a messy job if not done correctly. In today's video I will show you how to clean your wood burning fireplace yourself without chemicals. The ashes left behind in your fireplace tend to be very fine, which can easily become airborne, potentially creating breathing hazards inside your house. Proper care is important to prevent struggling with the thick black build-up inside so it is important to clean your fireplace.

We have a fireplace but we haven't tried it yet lol. We'll be testing it out next week though..so I hope lighting it goes smoothly.

@@iNekol lol. Me either! Most of my life was in Florida. The upsatair is wood. The one in the basment is gas. My husband said when the guy showed him how to use it the fire ran up to his arm .🙅🏿. That's scary lol. We haven't touched it.

I am a Chimney Sweep there is no cleaning the black off of those refractor plates
That sucks! So what do you recommend for making it look better? Painting it black?
@@iNekol Some Realator’s have them painted black, to improve looks ,for selling the house,I don’t recommend that they are light colored for a reason, to see deterioration from the flames of the fire, the back refractor plate/wall is the most effected, then the bottom ,under the fire log holder. They will eventually need to be replaced at a cost of $300 per plate.
